My girls all love to perch on branches so I put some more up so the little girls had some too .

 

I think they like it . (I only put the branches up this afternoon .)

Oh, yes, they all look very at home don't they . I keep meaning to add branches to my run ready for the winter, when they'll be in the WIR 24/7, so your pictures are a good prompt for me to get on with that job.

There are a few handy fixings left over from some long gone trellis. I've used loads of cable ties to fix them all - what a great invention they are .

 

I have a plan to put a plank of some sort along the length of the wall. I've been eyeing up local skips .

There is nothing that can't be attached with cable ties, we get through hundreds!

I am delighted to know that it's possible to undo them now too with the aid of a tiny screwdriver . Can't remember who posted that tip but I've used it already a few times!

I use christmas tree trunks in my run.

Once the tree is finished with, I cut all of the branches off and use the trunks in the run

Very fruitful trip to B&Q yesterday (skips were useless!) . Some Georgian skirting board (only the best for my gals ) was knocked down to £10. A couple of £1 brackets and we have ........

 

 

Obviously Boss Chicken had to check it out too.

 

Stuck an old set of roosting bars in too and within seconds Maisie was checking it out . (They look like they're levitating but they're resting on some branches .)

It looks fantastic ANH - I must get some more things in for my girls. Trouble is they don't seem to use the high roosting bar that Tony put in across one corner. They like the freestanding one. I'm going to have to rig something up for them.

Why can't I spend as long making MY house as nice as theirs . I wasn't happy with the blue bars so swopped them with the other set in front of the eglu - a much more aesthetically pleasing arrangement, I hope you'll agree .

Very nice! I'm still trying to encourage Dad that walk in Runs are a good idea...he's still not convinced, as he likes to look at them destroying the garden!

Yes they are, Plum . Can't decide when/if I should pop them into the eglu with the others . Would it help the oldies get used to them and stop pecking them, do you know?
