smokiechicken1969
hello everyone well my update on the neighbour whom complained to the council, threatened to kill my cockerel and was noseying around the back of my property had a visit from the boys in blue last night to say that they had spoken to the council who were happy that a farm is a suitable place for my birds and that she is not allowed to enter my property again or may face arrest. but the best bit is if anything happened to the cockerel she would face investigation from both the police and the RSPCA. ooo! i dont know if ive done the right thing but i did come to the end of my thether when i heard she was going to take me to court privately to get rid of him. so i now own a noisy boy who has witness protection status thank you for all your lovely messages of support. xx
Space Chick
Hooray That makes me so happy I hope the police protection hasn't changed him, I would hate to think that his new found status has gone to his head Edited September 18, 2009 by Guest
Falkor
Well done to the boys in blue! I hope this resolves your problems and your troublesome neighbour gets the message. Eggquisite
Just caught this tread... so if I read this correctly, you live in a rural location & mmm on a farm & you've had complaints about the noise of your cockerel !! Unbelievable!! Simple - if they don't like living in the country & the noises you can expect to hear in a rural location - they should move!!! Let's hope you've heard the last of the complaints. smokiechicken1969
haha hi ANH he better not! hes a bit distracted at the minute because ive started to free range my cream legg bar pol and the cockerel is making his authority known. she's holding her own so far and he's chased her a few times but she's brave and comes running over when i go out with the treats. shes dived on a few grapes ahead of the bigger girls so i think she'll be ok. he's had a policeman fight his corner and now has a new wife! he's a lucky boy! Chucky Mama
yeh for you Some people are so uptight. We have someone in our rural village who has complained about the noise the grain dryers make on the local farm

smanners
Spent a great camping holiday in the countryside recently and was woken everyday by Eeyore and his cockerel friends. Loved every day and missed them when I got back home Have promised myself a rural retreat when I win the lottery
