kannie
Oooh - lovely thread! Really need some positive thinking with the entirely dismal weather right now: totally grey and very wet day Um - I'm looking forward to: - getting the house back to normal now that our visitors left this morning (though sad that they've gone - in some ways ) - the days getting longer and brighter again - wearing summer clothes - finishing university and resuming more regular contact with people of more varied ages - having more external reward / sense of value from the work I do other than twice yearly marks (money would be good!) - visiting australia in the autumn As I'm writing these I realise that there are two sides to nearly all these things Very little is purely and simply good to look forward to, and doesn't bring some level of apprehension... That's very true, Christine. Sometimes we just have to weigh it all up, think positively and take the bull by the horns, don't we!
Lesley
Sometimes we just have to weigh it all up, think positively and take the bull by the horns, don't we! I think that sums up last year for us ......... .......... but....................................... we do have three sets of people interested in our house at the moment We were beginning to wonder if we'd made a big mistake

Lesley
We were beginning to wonder if we'd made a big mistake What with moving to the farm??? Yes, without selling our house first. Since last April we've been running two properties and paying for both mortgage and bridging loan. Every time there has been bad weather - and there has been plenty - we have both properties to check and we're now paying to heat the other house. It is still fully furnished and we just have all the tat here We were wondering if we might have to move back to the house and sell the farm as it would sell more easily. theherd123
No, dont do it!!!! The farm is your dream. Its Spring soon and im sure the other house will sell before then. Dont lose faith, im sure all will come good in the end. The road to ours dreams is sometimes a rocky one but you are nearly there - dont give up. AnnieP
Lesley, I know it must be really depressing and financially crippling, but if you had to sell the farm now, you would forever regret it.
Lesley
I know - we are hanging on but it's hard work. January is always a Hell Month for Carl and this just adds to his worries I'm optimistic and I'm sure it will sell soon.
Cate in NZ
Oh, Lesley, it must be such a worry and a bit of a nightmare at times, I'm not surprised that you have doubts. But you and Carl have achieved so much it'd be a disaster to have to give up on the dream now. I really, really hope that your house sells very soon.
