Things to look forward to in 2007

Recommended Posts

I'm looking forward to:

Eggs from all 4 chooks

Jimmys farm at Easter (it's on my calendar!)

No more nappies

2 weeks camping in France in June on a 'self sufficient' family farm

Not looking forward to:

Dan starting school in September :(

(or maybe I won't send him  )

Oooh - lovely thread! Really need some positive thinking with the entirely dismal weather right now: totally grey and very wet day :(

Um - I'm looking forward to:

- getting the house back to normal now that our visitors left this morning (though sad that they've gone - in some ways :? )

- the days getting longer and brighter again

- wearing summer clothes

- finishing university and resuming more regular contact with people of more varied ages

- having more external reward / sense of value from the work I do other than twice yearly marks (money would be good!)

- visiting australia in the autumn

As I'm writing these I realise that there are two sides to nearly all these things :? Very little is purely and simply good to look forward to, and doesn't bring some level of apprehension...

That's very true, Christine. :? Sometimes we just have to weigh it all up, think positively and take the bull by the horns, don't we!

I think that sums up last year for us  .........

.......... but.......................................

we do have three sets of people interested in our house at the moment :D

We were beginning to wonder if we'd made a big mistake :?

What with moving to the farm???:shock::shock:

Yes, without selling our house first. Since last April we've been running two properties and paying for both mortgage and bridging loan. Every time there has been bad weather - and there has been plenty - we have both properties to check and we're now paying to heat the other house. It is still fully furnished and we just have all the tat here

We were wondering if we might have to move back to the house and sell the farm as it would sell more easily. :(
