If you could, who, on the forum, would you most like to meet?

Recommended Posts

card is better then paper - if you use paper, then it is best to fold it so it doesn't crease as you try to push it into your collar...

I used a bit of old postcard the other day - but absent-mindedly put it in backwards (for a funeral) - and only realised after the service that your sharp-eyed mourner could have spotted the little rectangle where the stamp goes...

Phil

:roll::roll: OK I'm convinced!

Er. Our minister never wears a dog collar... We're lucky if he wears a tie! Not all vicars do wear dog collars so thats no help!

No neither does ours! But Phil seemed the type.

Phil only wears one when it's a help - such as for funerals where it's like a kind of a badge - people tend to relax because it looks like you know what you're doing - and you look like they expect you too...

in hospitals - so I can visit people outside visiting hours

also on the train - so I can get a triple seat to myself.. what person in their right mind is going to sit next to the vicar on a train??

Phil

(and when I rob post-offices - "Ooops, word censored!"ody suspects the bloke with the collar)

I'd be interested to meet AnnieP, LJ and Phil as I've seen them post for about a year and never met them.

I've met Phil - he's great!

Of those he hasn't already met...

Phil would like to meet Clare - because...

1. she talks sense

2. she knows about chickens

3. she has a sense of humour

4. she has a thing for baldy blokes called Phil....

8)

Phil

oh.. and Kaz - because she is always cooking awesome-sounding stuff!!! And Louise - because Phil loves cats...

Went to a catholic confirmation....

The bishop's origami mitre appeared to be made of card....

There were stifled giggles when he took it off, folded it up, placed it on his chair and sat on it.!

Hope he sold his posh one off to feed the poor.....or it could have been at the dry cleaners.

I'd really love to meet you all :!:

I've already met Phil, Sheila, Ginette, KateA and Morag a number of times and they're all great people, but sadly had to miss the Herb garden bash.

The person on the forum I would most like to meet is Motherhen although she has not posted since last July, I hope she's OK. Her knowledge of chickens is next to none on the forum and I have learnt so much from her :!:

I (like Phil) would also like to meet Clare, yes great sence of humour. I'd like to find out if chocchick is made of chocolate and what size are Kate's pants and is Dan the enthusiastic bouncy person that he comes across as ?

Lesley, AnnieP, Louise, Mel, Buffie, Martin, Cinnamon, Nicola, Liz, Linda, Kaz, Karen, Paola, CoaM .... Just read the members list

Don't be offended if I haven't mentioned you my list is so extensive that I'm sure you would not read the post if I added you all :!:

I was thinking about this whilst the internet was being slow and stuff. I think I'd most like to meet Claret! My reason:

She's given me some good ideas, is a laugh and been really helpful to me ever since I joined the forum.

Awww thanks Liz  , and revnev too.

I've met most of the people that I want to meet, although there are a couple of newbies like Egluntine, who I'd love to meet up with. it's funny, because we form ideas about people that we've never met, but get along famously with, but when we meet them we get on like old friends, Buffie, Kate and Mel (and countless others) were like that. There are others who I love to bits too; I see Lesley and Carl regularly because they live near me. I have convereed with Liz a lot and would like to meet her at last, in fact there's a list of people I'd like to see...

And as for grd - well, he'll never show his face  - he's pledged NEVER to come to any gatherings as he says that we'd be disappointed! I've told him that we're not that shallow but he won't do it. I've seen photos, and he's a lovely guy, just shy

Yep, there was that picture where he was hiding in an eglu (well a picture of his face was stuck to the eggport).

LJ, Sadly I'm not made of chocolate, just contain a lot

I'd have to add COAM, Louise, Cinnamon and NicolaH too, and probably lots of people I can't think of off the top of my head.

Yes so many of us to meet, it's a big forum. Sometimes it's hard to get round to meeting everyone but you'll all know the members you seem to interact with the most on here.

The funniest thing is when you see a face and not an avatar. We all commented on this when we had our first meeting.:lol::lol:

Here's to more this year too Andrew :D

Yup, without exception, everyone from this forum that I have met is lovely and we get on as well face to face as we do on here. There have been so many new members too that i'd love to meet. Perhaps more will be able to make it to the Omlet official do ths year. :D

:lol: Best not eh Choccy!

Choccy may be full of chocolate, but she doesn't melt when you give her a hug.

Well I have not met anyone yet but hope to do so this year at one of the dos.

I don't post very often but I read the forum almost every day (usually when I am supposed to be working). I am scared that I will become addicted if I start chatting and then NOTHING will get done.

Anyway, everyone sounds so lovely and helpful that I want to meet you all!

I feel like I have SO many good friends here... through interests, support, advice, information, laughter and tears all shared together on the forum.

Have met quite a few of you, at official do's and privately, and admire so many others too, whose talents, passions and knowledge, wit or sense make me  with envy!

I couldn't possibly think of who I would like to meet most, as I expect I would end up naming everyone :lol: : I would love to meet friends who I have already met again, because they were all so lovely! People who I have known on the forum for ages but have never met would equally be intriguing and exciting to finally meet and I would love to get to know the newer people better too......

Sorry Liz, I expect you wanted us to name names didn't you?.....:lol::lol:

I tell you what I do feel guilty about... that is being at a do and seeing somebody and not having the chance to speak to them..... I have been to events and NOT spoken to Gina, Kate, Nicola, Kannie, Sheila to name but a few...... they are never long enough and you always come away wishing you had longer!

Looking at the number of people who have tentatively said they might be able to go to an Official Omlet do in Oxford, I don't know how we are going to manage! I think it will have to be like a speed dating set up, where we have a three minute timer to get round everybody.....
