Space Chick
Susan my Silkie has been broody for over a week, and today I have put her in the broody cage. However, I am concerned that the weather is too cold. The temperature tonight is meant to fall to freezing, so I am worried that Susan will not be OK. The broody cage is next to one of the external walls in the WIR. Should I put her in the cube with her sisters at night, or will she be OK? Plum
It could be a lot colder than freezing I wouldn't leave her there but I have no experience.
Redwing
I'd go with in the cube at night but block the nesting box and broody cage in the day
Egluntyne
I'm as hard as nails, but even I think it a tad chilly tonight. Can you put her in the garage or a porch?

Space Chick
Well, I had blocked the nesting box last night, so when I went out to them at 6.30am this morning, all the other girls were out and about, Susan was doing her best to be broody on the nesting bars She is now back in the broody cage, making evil broody noises
coco
Coco is in her fifth week of being broody now. She's completely bald underneath so must be starting to feel the cold, BUT she's still broody. She's not even that warm underneath anymore. Maybe she'll snap out of it soon.
