Valkyrie
Sounds like a lot of fun in the US - one way to make a celebration last longer Debs! And more fun with you Claire! Just diving into yesterday's leftovers - we had my fun neighbour and her daughter round last night - sadly her OH wasn't well and she wasn't going to let him spoil her fun! Awww poor man. We played a funny game with a lie detector. I have to say that my mum was the biggest liar - she was telling the truth but the detector always disagreed! I found the more I laughed the more high pitched noise it gave off - and if it wasn't for mum's turn before it got to me, I would have been the biggest fibber! Murray told a whopping great lie and it said he was telling the truth. He got a lot of verbal I can tell you! Funny how a bottle of wine disappeared between D and myself, ahem. It's Pimm's tonight - whoohooo. Oh that's good news Lewis. Full steam ahead then - oh you already have steamed ahead. We have just ordered our new mantlepiece. Nice antique oak. Next year I can pin up the stockings on it. Definitely Quigley the duckling JJ.

Lewis
They've just emailed about the WIR and it will be ready on Tues so hopefully being delivered on Thursday, the same as the eglu Need to try and get the ground all sorted before then, and I want to get some split pin hinges, which we use in the theatre all the time, so that I can just pin it together but still strong enough to hold up
Lewis
Ok ... I'm back Split pin hinges are £1.57 each and I thought I needed 50 (19 panels) and it would cost £78.50 just for the hinges!! Might have to re-think using them, or have a look for cheaper hinges!

Lewis
Its a few years overdue 15x6x6 aviary panels The one we have now is an old climbing frame covered in mesh, with a 3.5 foot door, so you can't get in without a hassle!
Valkyrie
I have toyed with the idea of a WIR, then when we move it could be converted to a fruit bed, but I'm afraid it's not going to happen here - cash will go towards replastering and decorating - and maybe some furniture that isn't being held together by goodness knows what has got stuck down the sides and out of reach. 2 years and possibly a bit and I'm counting. Perhaps I need a ticker tape for my siggy. Have noticed that the back of my legs are covered with mud. Better go and wash! The others are having a marathon session of Lord of the Rings and I have been banished in here (poor old me, gutted of course ) - caught up with lots of old threads and Lesleys puppy and the farm. Sighhhhh. And I've been looking for smallholdings. These little fingers have been busy.

Valkyrie
Morning peeps. Murray feeling sorry for the Eggy Babes pacing up and down. I've looked out the window and they aren't doing it anymore! Just a couple more days they will have to put up with it. Of course they are also complaining - but that's my big girls too. We now walk the plank to get to the cube! They have a moat! Thanks for the linky Lewis - one to bear in mind for the future - we'd better move in your direction (although I found a super smallholding in Exeter).
