chickenNutter
Cool Looks like the Pope-mobile that the Pope had when he last visited these shores. Anyone remember that? Still cool though!
The Dogmother
Funnily enough, friends refer to it as the pope mobile I am now worrying that the roads won't be clear to get up there on Saturday - will see how things are tomorrow and ring the bloke to ask about the roads up there.... he's on the Tamworth road out of Coventry, place called Kersley if anyone on here can give a road report. ubereglu
Ooh, a newer one than ours then...although exactly the same! Our nice red berlingo is currently covered in snow and seems to know the way to the hospital at the minute...

A chickychickychick-ENN!!
I still like the green one My friends uncle has one ... they call in the ice-cream van Oh my gosh yes! Lewis, YES! Make bunting for it, and go to car boots with homemade ice cream! You'd make a packet for fun/BHWT! I giggle, but I'm serious! (Sorry. That's how my head works. I love trucks/vans/bunting/cornets! )
tom123
Love it Apparently Coventry isn't too bad, snow wise. My nan said all the main roads are completely clear although some are a little icy. Good Luck Tom
The Dogmother
Thanks Guys, I spoke to the dealer today and he says that the roads that end are OK. I have the ex coming round tomorrow morning to give us a push out of the road (Phil is stuck in Radnage), once we're out of my road it will be plain sailing
Lesley
Getting out of your road is difficult at the best of times !- hope you make it out easily. We always seem to meet little old ladies who won't pull in or back up and force Carl to back up.
The Dogmother
I know, the narrowness is a pain - you quickly become an expert at reversing I've come across quite a few drivers (btoh male and female) who can't reverse properly and actually once had to park a car for one lady Journey to get the van was fine, thick snow falling on the M40 on the way there, but sunshine on the way back. New van goes very well and Rosie is delighted with it
Blackrocksrock
Glad it was an uneventful journey - good luck with the new car/van

Jules.
I've been looking out for your type of car since I read this post. It looks a similar size to drive as our Zhara Picasso, but would hold loads more luggage than our car does, & ours holds alot We could also sleep in our car at a push- I've been tempted to sleep in it when I've been camping & the weather was vile
The Dogmother
You'll have to try one out then Jules; I found this via Autotrader online. The 'Desire' is a good deal as you get lots of extras and bits that you don't find in other models (don't forget that they originate from a humble panel van, so you're not buying a luxury vehicle) it's also worth getting a diesel as they are far more economical and the fact that is has slightly less 'grunt' makes you drive more economically, but you can still gave enough power to overtake when necessary. The HDI is also a good and environmentally friendly option, I think that it may also have a lower tax band due to the type of engine it has. Try this article for a fair review. They're not everyone's choice and be prepared to get the mick taken, but I have found that the reasonable price, running economy and other practical benefits outweigh street cred. Hens@HalfMoonLane
We've got one - ours is the Scooby Doo van. It's a Peugeot but the same model. Can't fault it, it's done everything we've ever asked of it. Even better when we spotted a Lintram made to measure dog cage in the back of another at some services and the owner saw us and told us he was swapping his car. We bought it off him, great transit cage and poorly hen box. I saw a review which said as long as you don't want any credability driving round in it then they are a really good vehicle. I personally love the front of them though.
