I've just sent my dealer an email to see if I can collect 12 Silkie eggs from her on Sunday In my defence I needed cheering up after losing Mimi and culling a rather randy cockerel! And given that she offered me Appenzeller & Hamburg eggs I think I've shown remarkable restraint

 

What are they Tasha?

I feel like an auntie waiting to see all these little ones

I will need to source a little cockerel to go with Tiddlywinks & Scrabble soon. I want a new bloodline.

Then in Spring I will be hatching silkies & god knows what else.

One of the silkies is sitting on fresh air at the moment!

All 6 bantams eggs look good though - all duds have been binned this time around so I know that what is left has a chance of hatching

 

Mostins Red Sussex eggs dont look very good though but I have left them in more in hope than anything else

Its too late now but we were talking about it at school ... they want to use a stethoscope aswell as candler to see if they can hear anything early on + know about fertility ... don't know if it'd work, we can try though .
