patsylabrador
I'm English and I have to say I am quite dreading the Six Nations. I shall faithfully watch all the tournament, cringing as I go along, and shouting advice at the TV, which considering I only have a rudimentary grasp of RU gameplay, is a bit cheeky. Still, those thighs!
Mrs Webmuppet
I too shall be watching the Six Nations (work permitting). I watch it every year. My husband leaves the house as I shout at the telly (LMW tries to watch it too). My Dad is a huge rugby fan and so I was brought up watching rugby. When the rugby world cup was on a few years ago I worked with a bunch of lads who thought as a girl I wouldn't be interested in the "Ooops, word censored!"le game, oh boy did they get a suprise when they caught me shouting at the telly. I even feel quilty when we sing Bread of Heaven in church ( the Welsh song) silly but there you go
Chickvic
We watch the Six Nations here too although sometimes the children aren't so keen!

MadMitch
IrelandWinsAgain....... Although I hate to say it I think you are right. It was painful last year but deep down alot of Welsh wouldn't have had it any other way. Irelands the game we all look foward to and the best crowd to be around. earthmam1
OH and all DS got tickets to the 2005 Six Nations Wales Ireland grand slam at the Millenum Stadium (I would have liked to go but they got the tickets and wouldnt give them up I had to watch it on the tele They had a great time and being Welsh it helped that Wales won. We shall all be watching it (on the tele this time) and singing with the crowd Mae hen wlad fy nhau although in our house it is affectionately known as My Hen had a Haddock sue
Lavenders_Blue
I'll be watching the Six Nations too - in fact I would probably be excommunicated from my family if I didn't! I too shall be cringing throughout the England games, criticising the team choices, shouting at the ref for being biased, groaning at the schoolboy errors... and then looking forward to it all again next year! PurpleTree
We'll be trying to watch them, although the boys aren't always so keen on the idea. I love being in town on rugby days, there's such a good atmosphere. We have been to a few 6 Nations games in the past, we used to have season tickets for Cardiff, so sometimes had the opportunity to get a couple. I loved going to all of them, and got quite emotional, especially singing the National Anthem. Hubby's a Yorkshire man though, so really he prefers League. Wales V England is always a fun match to watch in our house - I always dress the boys in their Wales tops

So a rather excited bunch of boys some very loud fathers and 2 mums will be watching the game in the hotel The 6 nations causes problems in our house as OH is Irish and I'm English Karen x
chickenNutter
Brought up in a very keen rugby family in the hey days of Bill Beaumont's captaincy, and all family were members of his home club Fylde. Fond memories of watching 6 nations (or 5 as it was then) at Twickers and the Arms Park but nowadays just watch on telly. Those were the days.......... fluffyfeet
Personally I would rather they sang their heads off, but I reckon they might be 'in the zone'! Dawn x
patsylabrador
I missed the beginning - I hope they didn't have pop/opera stars singing. I love to hear the crowd belting out the anthems. I like hearing the Scottish one although I've been told it's pretty anti - English. Something about a battle, is that true? I thought it was a cracking game, I know it's a good one when the time flies by and I don't wander off to put some washing on. I liked the England shirts without all the sponsor logos, really smart. Looking forward to next England match although one thing that is predictable about England is their unpredictability.

Looking forward to next England match although one thing that is predictable about England is their unpredictability. How true! I love hearing the anthems too. It is just a shame that (imo!) the English one is the least inspiring of the lot. I wasn't too impressed with the lady interviewer's first comment to the try scorer being something along the lines of, "haven't you made a mess of your shirt!" henriette
I am afraid to say that I am not really a rugby fan, but loved one used to play for Saracens many moons ago. The air is usually quite blue while the matches are on, so I tend to retreat elsewhere Incidentally, I do like the anthems though, and even at my age the thighs look pretty good
laurmurf
Am I the only Scottish supporter? SCOTLAND....SCOTLAND! we're here, Jillus! I started watching rugby when my OH and I lived in Ireland, so i 'grew up' in the world of Gavin and Scott Hastings for Scotland and Olly Campbell playing for Ireland: the glory days! I miss Bill McLaren's voice, don't you?
