Egluntyne
Not yet, but I was pottering in my greenhouse and tidying up a bit and thinking 'should I/ shouldn't I?
Lesley
I've got soil in the trays, warming up in the utility room - tomato seeds waiting to go in. I use the windowsills but it still feels a bit cold yet
Ain't Nobody Here
I was just thinking the same and trying to work out how/where I can fit in my seed trays (I have no greenhouse/porch or large enough windowsills . I got an old kitchen veg trolley thing on wheels down from the attic today - it might work .
Lesley
I use the narrow ones which are made for windowsills - I don't know if they would be any use?
Christian
I sowed some broad beans a couple of weeks ago. Just because it was sunny and felt the urge to get my fingers in soil. I still think it is too cold, but might do some planting next week.
ubereglu
I've made a little start, but they're all being kept indoors. So far I've sown some broad beans, tomatoes and sweet peas.
Saronne
I planted pepper and tomato seeds about a week ago (they're on a windowsill indoors) and will grow them on in an unheated greenhouse in a couple of weeks...though I will keep an eye on the night-time temperatures. I always start in February. Saronne x
docsquid
I usually start things off at the beginning of March. Any earlier and they get very large before it is time to plant them out. But this year I have a greenhouse, so I could start some things off next week, maybe. Courgettes, tomatoes and peppers. I have garlic growing that I planted last Autumn (slightly chicken-scratched but still OK), and broad beans that I planted out in November. Space Chick
We started broad beans and peas inside, the beans a few weeks ago and they are not about 4 inches high, and the peas were planted at the weekend. I am planning a fair bit of planting on Sunday

Egluntyne
Darn it....I have just spent another £8.25 buying seeds from Moreveg. I put some broad beans in last week. They are now under and inch of snow.
Valkyrie
Still delaying it here. Seems I didn't do anything outside until March last year - and then that was the parsnips. Delaying the greenhouse. Seems I will have to seal the windows as the rain is coming through where the panes of glass sit - not good. Never done that in the past - has to be the snow that caused it. I also remember having to sow several times under heat because things just didn't germinate. Always experimenting here. I keep a kitchen garden diary - which does help with noting past problems and trying something different the following year.
chickencam
We planted some broad beans in big pots in the greehouse yesterday. I also planted some colourful polyanthus in my window box under the Kitchen window, and by the front door. I need some colour and if they don't survive then so be it. Lesley
I'm still holding off on my tomato and chilli seeds as our windowsills are still too cold - even with the lids on the seed trays. I do have one heated propagator but it's not very big. I might use that for the beefsteak tomatoes so that they get a head start, the smaller Toms seem more forgiving. Happy chickens!
I've given in and planted chillis, leeks, carrots, cosmos, nicotiana, lupins and onions. All under cover, some in the house just to be on safe side. It's been spring like last few days, but forecast not good for weekend so am having to be restrained!!!
