Omlet Staff james Posted March 5, 2010 Omlet Staff Share Posted March 5, 2010 Hello, Rather excitingly - we have just flicked the switch on our new website! We have made lots of improvements to the site including updating the navigation, shop, breeds area and lots more. It would be great to get your feedback... what do you think? Guest
it looks more up to date James, I had an idea earlier today. i want to paint my walk in run (which is made of wood) to match my eglu and cube which are both green. Why don't Omlet sell wood stain/paint to match the colours of the eglus? I bet it would sell If you use my idea, i want some free paint! Olly
It looks brilliant - a lot easier to navigate around, I think, than the old one. I like the front page for the forum as well, showing what's up to date.
Lewis
Looks good Like the shop homepage, clicking on the eglus/cube image to get to them Think I prefer the 'old' top banner , but change is good
chelsea
I just popped in the shop for a nose - looks good Although, am I being silly or is there a pricing mistake on the "Go"? It shows/works out dearer than the classic....
Cooks
that'd be a mighty expensive Go... Its going to take me a while to get used to this, but looks good
Redwing
Although, am I being silly or is there a pricing mistake on the "Go"? It shows/works out dearer than the classic.... They have both gone up in price by the looks of it

Omlet Staff james Posted March 5, 2010 Author Omlet Staff Share Posted March 5, 2010 Panic over - I have corrected the price! Sorry about that! If you are looking at prices - all the delivery costs for courier have been reduced on the Go's, Classic and everything else including feed etc. James

Goosey Lucy
Looking good! But... When you're buying a cube, the names of the extras you might want are obscured by the image. (Chicken netting, pegs etc.)
Seagazer
I like it from what I've seen so far
Tutti Frutti
I'm on Firefox on a linux netbook and the home page looks blank - but actually everything has dropped right down the page (the old site worked fine!). In the shop, as soon as I clicked on anything in the menu down the left side, the graphics came up but all over the menu on the left and obscured it, no matter what size I set the font to. In fact, it's the same for me on PRODUCTS, GUIDE, BREEDS tabs... it's like a frame is aligning hard left and if it doesn't fit, drops right down underneath the menu frame on the left...??? Sorry but HTH!
Purplemaniacs
Looks good to me I use Firefox but on a normal PC (what ever that is ) Chrissie
Snowy
There seems to be a pricing mistake on the eglu classic. It says from £375 on the front, but when you click on it it says £370 for the basic package.
Valkyrie
Seems larger writing - much clearer. Did notice on the New Products page that there were several pages to look through. Some of the items were the same on the following pages, I lost count of seeing how many times the egg cosy with the cup cake turned up. Also it would be a good idea to add "View All" instead of clicking away - you get to see all products on the same page - then you can also see what's been duplicated. nicki9
Tutti Frutti, the same happened to me on a different forum that was updated, and their IT person told me to delete all cookies from the cache and then reboot - it worked a treat. Possibility maybe? Loving the new site - very smart.
Chucky1
I'm still finding my way around, but the new look, looks good. (No probs on Firefox/Vista)
Omlet Staff james Posted March 6, 2010 Author Omlet Staff Share Posted March 6, 2010 Hi Tutti Frutti, Thanks for the feedback. I guess that you might be using Firefox Version 2 - which seems to be having problem rendering the page. Could you check this for me by clicking Help -> About Mozilla Firefox. Thanks, James Also, thanks for the feedback about the mismatched prices. I will get these corrected...
Cooks
cube with exention is a 1p dearer on the first page than in later pages.
TAJ
cube with exention is a 1p dearer on the first page than in later pages. now that is just being picky! You are clearly doing a very good job testing for James! It is good to finally see pictures of the classic now showing plastic roosting bars not wood. It is slower than the old site in loading pictures for me, but the overall look is good. Tracy
Cooks
well its not an important update for them, but it should read the same to look proffesional. I didn't mean to be picky omlet..
