docsquid
They love them! They caught and ate three today. I think I might have to put some netting round the pond to exclude them while the frogs are breeding Anybody else's chooks eat frogs? It isn't as if they are hungry - they get plenty of food and treats too.
emchook
grim Mine went for a dead frog ... I had to intervene as it was a very funny colour ! When I moved my eglu the other day there were loads of mice nesting under a board .. the chickens looked mighty interested in them as well ! Lydia
Mine will eat both mice and frogs given half a chance. Live frog rugby is not a pleasant sight... And not forgetting fledglings that have fallen out of nests - I'll never forget Bartel running round the garden with a couple of bird legs sticking out of her mouth with the others in hot pursuit! Space Chick
Donna ate a frog today, and there was a Benny Hill style chase around the garden as several of her sisters decided they wanted it
JB09
My girls chase each other round the garen for ages playing tug of war with frogs until it makes me feel sick and then I try to divert their attention with grapes!
Cooks
mine cant get near the pond since they have their area, but I have a dog who tries to get them.
Chucky1
Yes ours love them too. One time I did intervene in a game of frog rugby and scooted the frog off to the hedgerow, they all gave me that butter wouldn't melt angelic look they do
Space Chick
mine cant get near the pond since they have their area, but I have a dog who tries to get them. Henry likes licking toads They don't move fast enough, he has never killed one or eaten them though, he just picks them up, brings them in and licks them

The Dogmother
Yup. My nieghbour's pond has lots of frogs and newts, which find their way into the garden; it's a race to see whether the cats or chooks get them first. If I see one, I will rescue it and pop it under the woodpile where it is cool and damp.
Chucky Mama
Donna ate a frog today, and there was a Benny Hill style chase around the garden as several of her sisters decided they wanted it We had that a few weeks ago. Absolutely hilarious but also pretty gruesome what with the legs dangling etc. They kept snatching it off each other and running away
ladyjulian
Yep, not even corn would divert their attention from frog rugby. It had been dead for some time though so I grabbed it off them and got rid of it.
Kittycat
One of mine has been known to eat an enormous slow-worm (a protected species I believe ) - it's enough to put you off eggs for life

Alis girls
My cats started leaving mice in the drive - I drove over 1 I think - it looked like a very small rug with a head (like the tiger rugs but smaller if you get my meaning)
