Redwing
I've already given my experiences on this on another thread Day 18 for me They normally hatch on day 21 same as large fowl It will be interesting to hear what everyone elses experiences have been

Madchook
I've just set some bantams I have put three in the rcom mini, which just has a 'chicken' setting that defaults to 21days - and the other three are taking their chance in the incy hatching next weekend (not ideal, but I didn't want to waste them, they won't all be fertile anyway and I would be happy to get three!). I could have manually changed the setting but wasn't convinced it was worth it???
emmab
I quite fancy myself a rcom mini-what are they like? x
Janty
I like mine...very easy to use.
Madchook
I have no complaints- other than its size! My first batch ended up with a lone chick which is not ideal obviously! It is a great incy for holding temp and humidity though, but in retrospect it was a bad buy as I don't want to set just 3 eggs again. (I bought a manual poly one off ebay - if I had the money I would have got another rcom mini to solve my problem!)
emmab
ooh I am tempted! think hubby would freak if I got one that holds 48 eggs or something! Thought I could ease him in with a little incy! He says I'm just impatient and have to wait for a broody chicken!!! x
Lewis
At the farm we'd always do it the 'traditional'(?) 18 days to hatch. They're in auto incubators for 15 or 16 days and then moved into hatchers so people can watch them hatch Don't know exactly what day they hatched though, as there were chicks hatching all the time
Madchook
hmmm, not sure what to do... saying that, it might not be an issue as I have yet to see anything in the banty eggs.. Do smaller eggs go first, I know the hatching reflex is caused by running out of oxygen so surely they would???
tom123
I never stop turning banty eggs early and have never had any hatch earlier either! Good luck
Griffin
I've had a LF Ancona hatch on day 18 during a heatwave but everything else has been between day 20 & 22.
