Lesley
I did have to stop the car yesterday and ask Lauren where we were going - she couldn't tell me because "I don't know - you told me it was a surprise" So where did you end up then? Well, I plan just the most exciting days for my grandchildren We went to the mobility shop to arrange hire of a wheelchair and then the Mini dealership as the seat in my car doesn't work properly and Lauren got stuck in the back
Charlottechicken
Depends on whether they are taking it 'all' out or not Claire I've read that remaining ovaries can fail (temporarily or permanently) after hysterectomy
The Dogmother
True enough, they don't like being tinkered with. Mine were on the way out anywy though, so it made no odds
Valkyrie
Well I've been waiting 40 years for this to happen and it's still taking it's own sweet time - oh to be freeeeeeeeee!
Seagazer
I'm forever saying to the rest of the family 'is it hot in here or is it me' sadly it seems to be me I'm not there properly yet though. I was talking about this to OH's cousin who is a year younger than me but she's been confirmed as being menopausal. She was describing how much worse than pms it was for her. Something to look forward to - not.
Valkyrie
Good one this evening. Decided on pizza. Oven on, bin open, remove outer packing, remove plastic packing. Now I have pizza in one hand and the plastic in the other. Stop myself before I put the pizza in the bin saying WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!! I either need more sleep or this is a really bad session over the last few days. Well it's now safely tucked in the oven and I have remembered to put the timer on - just in case. Lesley
You're lucky - I've lost my timer .....and, does anyone know what I went into the office for......I've wandered around in there for 5 minutes and still can't remember

docsquid
It struck again this evening. I wiped off the top of the cooker, and put the washing up sponge thingy down again by the sink. Or so I thought. Two minutes later I was looking for it to mop up a bit of spilt water. Could I find it? No, of course not. I'd thrown it into the rubbish bin instead of putting it back in its home by the sink. Doh!

Plum
It's actually nothing to do with the menopause. It's more to do with having your head full of forum stuff
Valkyrie
And I did remember to actually put the timer on - wouldn't be the first time that I have forgotten and we've had really bleh pasta! I remember my mum being so worried about forgetting things that dad went with her to the docs. He said "draw a clock, start with the face, and add the numbers and hands". Apparently that is always one thing that people forget first - where the numbers go around the clock - which is so sad. So when she kept on and she was having a worry session (session is my word of the week it appears ) we said "draw a clock" and she'd be a bit happier. Now I know I have bought Erin a birthday card for Sunday. Can I find it? No I blooming well can't. I've looked just about everywhere and it's really bugging me. Mum said will it be on your receipt. I didn't get it when I was with you (see she still forgets too). What help is the receipt - apart from tell me that I did indeed purchase one. Did I buy it - oh crikey. Am I imagining that I bought one? Where's that big bottle of wine . . . .
The Dogmother
.....and, does anyone know what I went into the office for......I've wandered around in there for 5 minutes and still can't remember 'Roomnesia'! I always blamed it on being a busy single mum and having to much to remember, but it has got worse in the last 5 years I am fine at work, the Outlook reminders and lists work wonders, but my brain seems to go to mush in the evenings and at weekends. Alis girls
The mini mental Drs do to check for memory loss includes counting back from 100 in 7's. I get as far as 93 - maths is not my strong point. I know we laugh at this but there are times I wonder where my menopause stops and serious memory loss begins. I think God gave women the menopause so men had something to laugh at. After all hes a man isnt he?
Seagazer
Lets not forget that he also gave men a mid-life crisis, my hubby bought himself a motorbike a couple of years ago. Wherever you go its usually men of a certain age riding these bikes, not young lads. So disappointing when they take their crash helmets off

Valkyrie
Yes, I agree with that - too much drooling over some very nice young lads on the TV and films. Shameful! Hah!
