Menopause again

Recommended Posts

We've had menopause cakes, periods and other delights - does anyone else have "dippy" moments.

I lost my mobile at the weekend and eventually found it in a tupperware I'd washed and put away in cupboard  the whole family is keeping an eye on the cats in case they end up in the microwave or fridge. Please tell me I'm not alone in being dippy doo da. :D

My mum had several classic moments - she froze all our rubbish and threw away the weekly shopping....and once she climbed on a chair to put my dad's dinner in the top junk cupboard instead of putting it in the microwave as per the note she had left for him (took him hours to find it)...she calls them CRAFT moments - "can't remember a flippin' thing"!

Won't admit to any changes, but I did this on Sun.

On my way out to walk 15 mins to work, I stopped to put something in the car.

Halfway to town, did a double take; agh, what am I doing in the car, driving into town! I never take the car to town, I don't need to.

Oh well, done it now, & parking is free on Sunday.

Leaving work I nearly forget, but congratulate myself on remembering to go to car park.

Decide to stop in a shop, must still remember.

1st shop out of stock so go to 2nd shop & walk home. Only realise as I open front door & wonder why my car isn't in the drive. :wall::lol:

Well that explains a lot - I thought I was going senile. Have done funny things with milk like put it in my coffee (I have it black), put teabag in on top of my coffee instead of getting out another cup for his lordship, driven the opposite direction going shopping to Camberley when I should have been going to Basingstoke. Numerous sessions of why did I do that and what have I come out here for. Just now I put the Quorn chickeny burgers on the baking tray and then went outside to fetch in the birds dishes and shut them in for the night. When I got back in the burgers are still sitting on the side and not in the oven. Shortly before that I put the oil in the oven for homemade chips, washed the potatoes and went for a sit down with Erin. Forgot the oil and forgot to slice the potatoes. Oops.

The relief to me is amazing - i do find stress esp at work makes it worse. OH and kids laugh at me they think its funny. I am sooo glad I'm not alone in this. That and the new personal central heating - only one in church on Sunday wearing a camisole under her cardi as I was hot. I grab whatever is too hand and fan myself with it. Defiantely going ga-ga

Well, after reading all these I shall tell Carl he's menopausal............

We have a gas oven in an outbuilding which we use if we have a power cut or need extra room. My son went to the outbuilding this afternoon to fix some plumbing.......it was rather warm in there - the oven was on! It had been on since ................................................................... Sunday afternoon!:shock:

Mobile has been left in microwave and I can tell you that no matter how many times you ring it it can't be located

I once had to take DH's packed lunch to work after he forgot it only to arrive there having myself left it behind.

The car has driven itself to places I didn't intend to go to :oops:

BUT as for

That and the new personal central heating - only one in church on Sunday wearing a camisole under her cardi as I was hot. I grab whatever is too hand and fan myself with it. Defiantely going ga-ga

FORGET it. I'm on HRT till they put me in my cardboard box :!:

Or maybe sit near the cat flap and have a string going back and forth - then ickle pussy will fan you! :D

I tend to get unpleasant hot sessions at night - chuck covers off, get cold, pull cover back on, throw it off, pull it back . . . just needs Murray to start his snoring nonsense and I've had it - grumpy woman the following day.

I've only had a couple of sessions during the day, one was in a restaurant where I felt so ill I had to get out into the air and have a lie down in the back of the car. Erin bought me a little fan after that!

Oh dear Carl!!!!
