Exactly 6 months ago today, my beautiful girls were taken out of their cages. Today we have been celebrating their 6 months of free range retirement with a sunshine and photo session. Here are the snaps I took today - hope you enjoy them

They are all looking really well and healthy. My ex batt Lily looks just like Bella with the lighter feathers round her neck. Its amazing what a few months of TLC can do .

Awwww, They're looking great. I hope that when mine reach their 'six months' that they look as good as yours. I've still got tow with not many feathers!

Thats what I love about having ex batts - we have had 2 lots, the first 3 in Feb 09 and the 2nd in Oct 09 and they live happily with our 'normal' girls, however you now can't tell which are the ex batts.....which is fab!

Thank you everyone for your lovely comments about my girls

 

I am so proud of them for making 6 months of freedom, especially through this dreadful winter (most of which they moulted through )

 

I hope I will be posting more photos of all of them in another 6 months when they reach their henniversary

Your girls are absolutely stunning. They look so healthy and lots of fluffy feathers, would never of guessed they are ex-bats.
