Alis girls
Yes keep watching from kitchen window. A magpie landed on the lawn and they all froze. Liked musical statutes without music. One question - already a bit of onehenmanship - one and I havent fathomed out which as unless all together I cant yet tell them apart pecks one of other round face. I now you can gert spray - but is this just soemthing that will pass once they chill. They are bewidlered and wont come to door so I am leaving till they associate me with food a bit more. Should i get spray - but cos its near eyes wasnt sure. I will have many more questions I know
Ain't Nobody Here
Are you sure it's aggressive pecking? Mine sometimes peck each other's beaks - I'm assuming they're after bits of food but I always think it looks quite sweet .
Olly
Congratulations, chooksatlast! I'd wait until you're sure about the pecking - they more usually peck each other's bums or the back of the neck, so I wouldn't worry about it till they've been settled in for a while. BeckyBoo
Congratulations! The pecking is probably a bit of pecking order, a bit of stress but they do sometimes find stray food on each other and eat that too! It's only if they draw blood you need to worry. Just wait until tomorrow, I bet you get nothing else done BeckyBoo
