I only spent £3 on some black shoes in Primarni

Truffles sound  Debs!

Ahhhhhh! 8) Sandie!

Went to do backstage for Footloose after Brum :)

We had to do a 'get-out' (take everything out of the theatre into a lorry to move to the next theatre) in the pouring rain!

Looking forward to us doing it in July now :P

Chicks are 2 days over due :? Have checked + the pekin X poland and poland are DIS :(

The brahma was dodgyly rotten + not developing as I thought. There's 1 or 2 in the incy that are half still with us - I know I shouldn't 'help' them but its obviously my dodgy incy so they won't make it any other way :(

Will leave them to it + see how they are tomorrow.

Night all :)

Morning all.

Sandie - OMG how gorgeous are your newbies!!!!

Lewis - top bargain shopping trip! and so sorry to hear about the eggies. Perhaps you are right about the inncy. My first lot were in the cheap polybox inccy and I got 1 out and 4 died on about day 23. Been hatching in the Suro and for 7/9 with second lot and 2/3 with the Orps.

Debs - glad you are feeling a tad better and those truffles sound delish!

Yup, me and Lyns were very good yesterday! The only chicken related purchase cost a massive 24p!

I picked up my cube run sections yesterday to and had planned on giving then a wash and attaching but the weather is nasty out there so might save that for tomorrow.

Going to the inlaws for lunch but HAVE to be back home in time for 1.30 kick off so looks like I am a football widow for the day....so toss up between cook off in the kitchen (have about 5 dozen eggs to deal with) or the mountain of ironing

Oh...and I promise to get pics of the Crazy thread Orps today too...............my bad

Sorry Lewis. :( I have a naughty furball you can borrow - she's eggnapping everyones offerings.

Morning all. I was drinking red wine as a cheers for Chickle. Probably a leeeeetle too much. I didn't have any small bottles when I was making pasta sauce the other day, just had this big bottle of Wolf Blass - and I only use a little for cooking. Seemed a waste. I did however get told off for swigging out of the bottle by Erin - couldn't find a wine glass. It's not ladylike or words to that effect. Oops my bad! Still half bottle left though.

My eggies go in the incy tomorro, they are 6 araucanas and 6 appenzellers

Are you competing with Tasha  New chickens yesterday, chicks growing up, and now more eggs

You do know that Appenzellers are lunatics though don't you  My Nyssa was a scared of her own shadow until she came into lay and then she turned evil  She will also NEVER EVER be picked up  On the rare occasions when I do manage to corner her to check her over she screams the place down. Although she will jump on my lap for grapes

Sounds like ratties - or a weasel/stoat? Sorry to hear about the tunnel under the skirt! I'm glad we have the eglu only as an alternative nest box now - and only Skye uses it.

If you haven't done the washing then you won't have to do any ironing! There! OK? :D

Just started raining here - fine but heavy if you know what I mean.

:( I'm sorry Claire :?

Slabs wouldn't help if its too small would it?

Got rid of the eggs, all gonners :?

Roll on the 19th

Hilary has been for a run around then after 10 mins went mad to get back in the hutch :P

Tried to get her to scoff some pellets but she had hardly any, so will take her off again in a bit + get her to have a bit more.

We're on day 4 for her eggs, so will candle them in a few days :)

We have big stones and bricks and some slabs holding the run skirt down Lewis. I think whatever it is would just tunnel further and further out :x:?

I have my Eglu on a bit of 1cm x 1cm weldmesh that runs under the Eglu and all of the run Claire, I think it was a 6m roll from Homebase, its not wide enough for the widest part of the run but I patched some in for that part, I use flat head pegs (sold for garden fleece) to keep it down then put the woodchip on top

Its going to be one of those days today.....

Henry has been sick and had the runs, my stomach is bad again, one batch of truffles won't roll into balls, my friend has been taken ill with an eye infection and has gone blind today, Grandad is not right, Sainsburys have delivered my shopping and was missing things I really need, the girls are in crazy moods, Romana has picked on Tom and stolen his food, Dorothea has taken on a Magpie, Grace is picking on everyone, my next door neighbour has damaged my Asparagus, my washing machine is leaking........

Yes Shirl. Whatever it is tunneled it's way into the run. There is a small hole where it tunneled about 3 inches out from the edge of the run skirting  I have the one remaining girl inside in a cat carrier, she has a small wound on her neck that i have treated and i've given her some nutri drops. I don't think she is going to make it though

((hugs)) Debs.
