Scramble
The woes of not investing in a watch. Firstly, I woke up this morning as usual by my alarm clock which read 7:00. In walking to the other side of my room, the clock on the wall now informs me it is 6:00. Down the stairs I go and into the bathroom. 7:00 again. So then, once ready, I leave for school. The time reads 8:25 and I get into the car…the time is now 7:25. Once at school, in the foyer the time tells 8:35 but once I’m at the centre point of the school, the clock on the wall there states: 3:35. So, I get to my form room where that clock reads 3:10 (the time school ends) because apparently some members of my class thought it would be funny to set it to that time and then take the batteries out to see if our teacher would let us go home Failing that, bell rings and in lesson one it is the normal time of 9:05 Lessons and clocks seem to alternate between whether or not BST is in effect, I left lesson one at 10:05 but apparently at lesson two its 9:05 again And then there was lesson three where apparently it was 10:50 – all lesson long End of the day and the centre point clock is now reading 5:10 and the second hand has stopped moving. Once home, the time is 3:40. Upstairs to drop my bag off, it’s 2:40. Mother informs me that she has to pick my sister up from choir at 6:00. I am asked to remind her. So, what is the probability that she will get picked up on time? Ahhh…you’ve got to love BST.

Olly
My watch stopped working a couple of weeks ago, and I decided to see whether I could live without one. Computers always have clocks on, my work phone has a clock on (although confusingly, it's not the same as the computer) and I'm never without my mobile phone. So far, I haven't missed it much - so I'd say don't bother investing in a watch! I think it's been liberating, and I haven't been late for things, (at least no later than I usually am ). Old Speckled Hen
I read somewhere that a lot of people no longer own watches as they have their mobiles with them all the time.
Seagazer
We bought our ES a watch a couple of years back, he's never worn it. Says he doesn't need having a mobile so I wouldn't be surprised.

The Dogmother
As long as I don't have to be Christopher Biggins. Now there lies a story - I once danced with him at a party - he's a fantastic dancer, for a bigger chap. Didn't twig who is was until someone pointed it out. chickenNutter
As long as I don't have to be Christopher Biggins. I now have a vision in my head of Major Bloodknock in stockings and suspenders with a feather boa. I am trying hard to rid myself of this vision.
