harveypup
Hmmm not really sure what I think. Can see good points and bad. Will sleep on it
Cinnamon
Well, I am a bit shell shocked. It is not what I expected at all, & I am really not sure about it. I love the curvy cool look of the mk2, & this looks so very different.......... Some of you may remember that I have one on promise for a belated 40th birthday pressie from last summer, but we have a hen pen, & I can't see how the top could be sold seperatly from the bottom, which I really don't need. Time will tell I suppose. Great that its yellow though - always my first colour choice Well done Pam for spotting it, & thanks to Johannes for clarifying matters The question now is if I don't get one, what will I spend the money on instead? Mrs Frugal
I love it! It reminds me of an old fashioned Gypsy caravan with the ladder at the front and the wheels underneath .
The Dogmother
Yellow? Looks orange to me (my favourite colour)

The Dogmother
When we saw the prototype, I thought it looked like the back of an estate car.

Elaine C
My initial thought is that it looks quite cool. Yes totally different from the current model but I guess as johannes says aimed at a slightly different market and it's very good to hear that the Mk 2 production will continue. But I would like to see it in real life before I made up my mind. I think there is a definate market for this product as there are plenty of wooden equivalents for 10ish number of hens but that these lack the proven advantages of the eglu i.e ease of cleaning and lack of maintenance plus demand from those on the forum who have been eagerly awaiting the unveiling of the MK3. From my point of view, had 4 chooks and knew I wanted more - what to do?? Should I get a another second hand MK2 eglu or wait for the Mk3. In the end fate intervened and a second hand MK2 became available (plus the 3 inhabitants) for a very reasonable price so I went for it. My set up perhaps different to many as we have built a large run and I feel that having the 2 eglus perhaps provides a bit more versatility and if necessary can isolate different groups. However, can't help feeling that the second hand eglu market may become 'flooded' so cheaper MK2s will be available to be had! Anyway, Good luck to Omlet then on their 'unofficial' launch - hope it goes well. E

ubereglu
I quite like it. However for financial costs I'd rather have 2 second hand mark 2's instead, as it would be ultimately cheaper and you could have two colours. It looks really nice, but they should definitely stick with selling the mark 2's at the same time though, as it really isn't a back garden hen house is it? Johannes said that they will still be selling the mk2 Liz.
ali-s
Hmmmm, I can't make up my mind if I like it or not I keep having to go back to have a look at the picture. The front and the back of the Eglu looks white which I don't like. It looks so big Wish it didn't look so box like I like the shape of the original Eglus more than the new version. However if someone offered to buy one for me..........well I could I refuse
Martin B
Will the new Eglu Cube come in all the funky colours we know and love? I hope so, I think it should be availabe in more colours aswell maybe 9 0r 10. BLUE RED GREEN ORANGE PURPLE PINK BROWN TURQUOISE YELLOW and maybe... THE OLD GREEN (MK1)
Martin B
Another thought! What about chickens. Will you be able to order 7,8, even 10 chickens at a time? Also I know personally that I would get bored of just ordering , surely there needs to be more of a choice and maybe blue egg layers would be a hit! Also will this eglu be adapted for the rabbits and ducks? I've seen very similar things in wood which are available for rabbits, will rabbit fanatics get the chance to own this sort of eglu. Can ducks climb steps, I would love to one day keep ducks, 10 would be fantastic. I really can't wait for my questions and queries to be answered when it is officially released! Snowy
It's growing on me! It definitely doesn't have the style of the mk2 which I love BUT it would be perfect for an allotment! I feel a plan coming on! All those extra chickens!!

Cate in NZ
I love it I do agree that the styling isn't quite as funky and sleek as the original mark 1 & 2s, but it still looks stylish and easy to maintain. No more bending down for the poop tray and probably a lot easier to move than the origina eglus because of the wheels. And big enough to cater for 10 hens..............well, 'nuff said That said I'm not allowed to buy one yet . Since we're still seriously contemplating moving house it's not practicable to be buying more hens and eglus until we do move, or equally decide to stay put. I'm so disappointed, I'd be on the phone Monday otherwise placing my advance order .
