Millihelen
Following on from the thread on Chickens "How do you store your feed?"...... Kids (teenage boys) are home from school for the summer, and are eating everything in sight! I just need a little chocolate treat every now and again, but they know all my hiding places.... except the place where I hid my mp3 player, and even I don't know where that is.. Help! chickric
They never last long enough to need a hiding place
Millihelen
I used to hide treats in the saucepan drawer , but then the oldest started cooking! Handbag - no, that is one of the first places they look - for bus fare and mints. But I do like the idea of the knicker drawer - really scary place for teenage boys! They refuse to load/unload the washing machine in case they find some of my underwear.

So let me get this right. You buy chocolate and then store it somewhere, still in its wrapper? How does that work? I thought chocolate produced a gravitational pull that kept the bar firmly in one's hand, and that the only way to let go was to transfer the gravity-inducing mass from hand to waist. Certainly, I've undertaken many experiments, and have never been able to escape the gravitational pull whilst there's still some chocolate remaining. Lesley
Under my pillow - that was fine until I had 'flu and slept on a bed downstairs and my Mum came to look after my two little ones and she slept in my bed Now my son is grown up and looks after the farm if we go away, I have to take any stores with me
Egluntyne
I find that it calls out constantly, and even disturbs my sleep, so I don't buy it, although I noticed last week that Him Indoors had stashed some Kit Kats in the shoe polishing box. Charlottechicken
I leave it all in the chocolate factory down the road! Actually, I haven't caught a whiff of the heavy, heady chocolate smell that emanates from Cadbury's for ages, until the other week when I walked right past on the towpath. It was utterly overpowering Now if you're talking jelly babies and wine gums....they don't last five minutes, so no need for storage round here
Chucky Mama
Now if you're talking jelly babies and wine gums....they don't last five minutes, so no need for storage round here Me too, can't help myself -any jellies - love sportsmix
Space Chick
So am I the only person that has chocolate go out of date? (not galaxy though - that always disappears to the storage container that is my hips )

Removed temptation entirely I have. Very impressive Yoda! We have what is laughingly called a secret supply - it's in the fridge at the moment so not so secret! When DD was recently in Berlin on an exchange, she reported that they actually kept a padlock on the chocolate cupboard. She was
Christian
Just remembered! I have a book that I painstakingly removed the centre of each page from, with enough room for a bar of dairy milk.
Couperwife
4 years and he still hasn't found it. good grief - have you really had chocolate for 4 years - wow, impressive (chocolate I can keep anywhere, fridge, cupboard, side in the kitchen, gums...now gums I have to shut my eyes and hide from myself - or I finish the box/packet in about 5 minutes and get an achy jaw ) cathy x
