Also thought Matt did a good job with the rhumba although it wasn't brilliant. Given the barmy army will probably carry on voting for Ann I think Michelle or Felicity will be in trouble tonight. The reason she was aboe to dance a bit is that she was actually able to stand up straight!!!!!!!! Now to lose the silly fluffy/frilly capes - she actually has a figure under all that lot! Kara looked like a professional and I happen to love that dance the most. The rumba was beautiful too - when I think how Scott did it, Matt really did a gorgeous job of it last night - it is less showy than either of the other 2 though so bound not to be as adored. But he is still in my view consistently superb. No 10s yet though - Myabe next week? MIchelle or Felicity tonight, please, or Ann, though I doubt she will go just yet. And wasn't Patsy lovely? I thought Matt coped well with a difficult dance, but it was disappointing by his standards...... Kara was fantastic, and remains my favourite to win overall...if Ann gets out of the picture...I have no idea how she did last night, because I can't even bear to watch it's so cringeworthy.... That's what we said when we saw her, especially after seeing the training tape, I'm surprised she doesn't tuck them into her waistband It made her look much smaller on top in the dress. It was difficult to say which I preferred as they are such different dances, but they were both executed brilliantly. Matt's rumba was okay, but IMO the rumba is such a difficult dance for the male celebrities, as it seems to be mostly about stretching and posing while the woman wiggles round you. But I think he made a very good attempt at it and, based on what I have seen of him so far, I'd like to see him in the final with Kara and Scott. Ann's corsetry was a vast improvement last night! Kara, Pamela and Scott were sublime, Matt failed due to the choreography, Felicity forgot her steps, Michele was being steered around by Brendan and appeared to be counting out loud, Patsy has finally found her core muscles, Ann looked like a small child reaching up to an adult; her underpinnings did seem to have improved though. Gavin is still immersed in himself, but managed to dance pretty well. I have to say that Tess' dress was lovely, and I am so glad that a certain person has gone... others danced worse, but she was truly getting on my wick! I thought Brendan and Michelle really looked as if they'd had a big bust up at the end of the dance and then when it was announced they were out Michelle turned her head when Brendan went in to kiss her. I thought Michelle was unlucky in some respects, in that being a singer etc she might have been compared to Alesha - but (even though I don't like her as a judge) they are poles apart when it comes to dancing. I wasn't keen on Michelle's attitude throughout, so not surprised her partner found her difficult. Kara and Scott both danced fantastic routines on Saturday. I do wish Scott would stop doing all the monkey impressions in training though.Does anyone else find that off-putting? Matt is such a consistantly brilliant dancer. Although not the most entertaining dance this week, his was the best Rumba this series by far. I do hope he gets the elusive 10 soon. chickencam Posted November 15, 2010 Share Posted November 15, 2010 Scott and Kara were amazing this week, and I thought that Matt did a great job on the rumba, but it was a bit too raunchy for me, I felt the same sense of discomfort that I felt when Rachel Stevens did the rumba with Vincent a couple of years back. I though Ann made a creditable atempt this week, but she had to after all the controversy after Jimmy went out. I was glad to see Michelle go, she had improved a little, but she was annoying. I have a new level of respect for Kara after seeing some of the BBC 3 programme about her dyslexia, I am amazed that she can remember the steps. I was reading about Widders this morning; I had noticed her neat ankles, small feet and hands, but it turns out that she has the same size feet as me (2.5) and is the same height (5'1"). I had no idea; she always comes across as larger. What isn't obvious is that she's also lost a lot of weigh as a result of all the exercise....just not from her bosom. Matt was supberb tonight, I think that he over did the wiggling a tad, but he well deserved his score. I felt for Gavin tonight, he has improved a lot and when they know that VT of his children upsets him why do it two weeks running Ann was truely dreadful tonight, she didn't even try, she has to go now, but I suspect that Felicity may go instead. How can that be worth one more than Ann according to him or 1 less than Patsy etc? Absolutely bonkers stupid man. Can you tell I'm upset? Really enjoyed Matt's dance tonight too. Thought Pamela was overscored. Gavin lost it this week too again which is a shame as he actually looked quite relaxed. I think the choreography didn't help him. Scott's samba was average, and what's with the faces he pulls? Sadly I missed Matt's samba so will catch up with it on i-player. Having vowed not to watch Ann ever again because it's so awful, I did manage to see her performance...I wonder if she really isn't trying in an attempt to be voted out of the contest...presumably the lower the mark the judges give her the more chance of her going out? Because of they way the bbc works it, the number of points she gets doesn't actually matter because it's done on where you are in the score board if she got 10 below everyone else it would be the same as being one point below everyone else. I loved Kara's dance however i did agree with Len she broke the rules. American Smooth under the bbc's rules has to have at least 40% in hold and she barely made it to 20% the fault of the choreographer completly but in the same way they are penalised for breaking the rules about lifts.... She got a 6 because for 60% of the time she obayed the rules in the same way that if she'd only danced 60% of the time she was given but danced that perfectly. If she'd danced that well and not broken the rules she probably would have got a 10. They were also warned that they would be heavily penalised if they kept breaking the rules and so Len's kept his word. She is good enough to stand a chance of winning without cheating so perhaps it a timely reminder early enough to make a difference. Yes it was an example being made but unfortunatly it was one that needed to be made because they were all breaking rules left right and center and Kara and Artem were one of the culprits where illegal lifts were concerned. I'm sorry but i wish they would penalise these things more. Makeing a mistake doing one of the spins with one foot on the floor and it being lifted off is one thing but delibratly cheating and breaking the rules is another. chicken bark Posted November 21, 2010 Share Posted November 21, 2010 I think my problem with Len's scoring is not that he necessarily under marked Kara but to give her a 6 and Ann 5 was ridiculous. Ann had a lift in hers so she would have automatically been deducted a point. So that means if Ann hadn't done a lift he would have given her a 6 - the same mark as he gave Kara.
