Looney
I've only just read this thread and am so sorry to hear the news Poor Bruce and Bob I had fish and the one that lived the longest was the cheapest and least likely to survive...cost me 75p from Bradford indoor market. Bought in 1997 and still alive and now in retirement, in luxury, in my parents pond. Not bad considering the first few years were spent in a bowl with weekly water changes and no water filtration Any fancy ones I bought seemed to be doomed
AnnieP
Oh My! That's unbelievable! Em I'm so sorry, you must be really upset! I am sure it was nothing you did wrong! xxx
The Dogmother
I'm so sorry to hear that Emma. Try again with some less fancy ones

Tina C
I can't believe it either. I was just wondering how this story was developing and I find they have gone. Bless em, Hope you are OK. We have two ordinary, boring, goldfish that we got three years ago. I am not very attached to them (especially since we had to move them into a big ugly tank) but I would miss them if they died. Cate in NZ
Oh, Emma, I can hardly believe that, especially after this thread's predictions of doom and gloom. So sorry to hear about Bruce and Bob

Martin B
Are they the same breed?
The Dogmother
Good luck with the new batch Emma. I used to keep really fancy goldfish when I was 'ickle' and they more fancy they are, the less time they seem to last! Shame really, because some of them are really lovely. chickenlass
Thats such a shame.... perhaps those two were a bit off colour when you got them Fingers crossed your new fish are OK and will be around for a very long time.
theherd123
Are they the same breed? No Martin, we went for the 'bog standard fish in a bag at the fare' type! Harry & Paul are still alive today! PHEW!!!
