I think he died of a heart attack. I really like Some Like It Hot too; one of the few films I've seen more than once. I heard a bit of an interview he did with Pamela Anderson 2 years ago on the radio this evening; a really sad story about how his younger brother died in a road accident and he had to go and identify the body aged 12 , whilst feeling guilty because he didn't want to play with the brother that day,and sent him away and what if they'd stayed together. I suppose the only slightly good thing is he's left us all a great legacy which we can still enjoy.

I adored TonyCurtis in Some Like It Hot....but not much else...his Cary Grant when he's trying to seduce Marilyn Monroe is fab....I wished he'd left the plastic surgery alone though..like Paul McCartney, he'd started to look like a woman.

Don't forget The Vikings! He had such brilliant anecdotes to tell - he was soooo funny and naughty. Oh and the film with Cary Grant and they painted the submarine pink! Some Like it Hot - such a wonderful classic and one of my favourites. Tis such a shame.

I only just watched him (again) in Spartacus the other day. Hollywood glitz and glamour at its best. I also love Some Like it Hot.
