Baby - new pics

Recommended Posts

well since getting in they stopped completely, but now have just had a terrible pain accross my lower back. So something is happening even if it ain't labour right now.

Give it 24 hours and I have high hopes this lil lady will be out, even if they stop overnight. Had twitchings saturday night, then monday evening... it's got to be gearing up surely.

gonna try to get some relaxing then snoozing in xx

Ta da!!!!

Raven Lilith May is here!!

Woke up at 11 needing a dash to the loo urgently. When got back to bed the pelvic pain was intense so just crouched by the bed for ten mins before deciding that defo was contracting every three mins.

Phoned labour ward at midnight to let them know things defo happening.

Phoned at ten to one to say I couldn't cope and please send the midwife!

She arrived at 01:35, and by 01:58 Raven emerged into the world, with mummy on the couch crouching and daddy and brother in attendance - wee man woke up about ten mins before I popped - clever chap.

Raven is perfect. Weight 7lb 8oz, nothing other than superb. Had some cuddle time while being checked over and I have escaped relatively unscathed, with no stitching needed.

Three hour labour, and what a fantastic home birth, I can't explain how fantastic it was compared to the other time! Even though I had the odd moment where I thought I couldn't cope - look what happened! 3 hour labour?? Yeah!!!!

Going to snooze up now and enjoy some sleepy, but I will be back on tomorrow to flash some pictures about (all her newborn ones have scrunched up flash faces, bless :D ) and generally be merry and joyous. Right now lil miss is fast asleep on daddy's chest and I intend to join her xxx
