karlotta
Pete the Poland cockerel went to his new home today and the obvious chicken maths means that one out equals 3 in! Plus I have two empty eglus (so still one empty!) So I'd like to introduce Tammy (white Wyandotte), Nancy (Buff Orp) and an as yet unamed Dark Brahma girly. I think the Brahma is a bit younger than the others but she is of course sitting down in the pic so looks smaller than she is! They seem to have settled in well already and took themselves happily off to bed!

meezers
They are gorgeous. I'm also minus one cockerel, but my sums resulted in +2 not +3 , think I'll have to re calculate
Plum
Meezers your maths will improve the longer you have chickens Those girls are gorgeous. Now I really am jealous.
karlotta
I'm pretty thrilled with them too, they are three types I seemed destined not to have this year ... None of my orp and wyandotte hatching eggs that I incubated this year hatched; the two gold laced Orp day olds turned out to be lovely Vorwerk hens and I've not been able to get my hands on any Brahma or Orp growers at all! They were very reasonable too (in my opinion) £15 for the Brahma and the Dotte and £20 fo the Buff Orp!

Are they showing different characters yet? The Orp is definately top chook - and the Brahma is bottom - she's a bit of a wimp TBH! She waits paitently until the other two have stuffed their beaks before she tucks in!
