Unsecure chicken perches

4 months ago our garden looked like a rubbish tip. We built raised beds and a WIR at the end of the garden. Our WIR is an irregular shape with a tree in the middle so we built a wooden frame first and then covered it in wire. The roof is corrugated plastic. The edges are paved (with one edge resting on the brick path) and the floor is bare earth so we filled the run with fallen leaves which the girls love. Pictures of Rhubarb, Crumble and Custard on the 'Chickens' board. And no the chickens are not allowed on the lawn although for now at least they are allowed to scratch around in the raised beds!

Wow - that WIR looks really very good indeed, great job. I'm sure that you'll want to do lots of baking to reward your OH for helping you build it. He particularly likes blackberry and apple pie.

That WIR looks like a little bit of Chicken Heaven to me...my girls spend their entire time when FR either in the border under our apple tree or in the piles of leaves that are currently adorning the end of the garden.....your garden looks lovely too
