craftyhunnypie
Just love that white decorated tree - very Snow Queen ish. Mine is up, same as last year, just a little wall tree or half Xmas tree as hubby calls it. Got my knitted mini stockings & baubles up too, from last years Xmas swap. Have a stocking hanging & a Nutcracker man too. The choooks have their own tree too. Mainly because I got it last year from a cheap shop & it has a leg missing, so won't stand up. It's propped against the shed near the chooks. Need a few more festive bits I think about the house. Some Xmas bunting & a wreath sort of thing. I like the white twiggy wreaths with beads on. freddie
One of our engineers has brought in a tree, decorated it and put it up the end of the workshop where he welds furiously all day. It looks so pretty!!! we dont put ours up until after the 20th as DD has her birthday... I suppose that is my bad planning
Mercedes55
we dont put ours up until after the 20th as DD has her birthday... I suppose that is my bad planning Children do tend to arrive on the most inappropriate days don't they. My son has his 33rd next Monday and he likes to have the Christmas tree up before his Birthday, so a bit of bad planning on my part too
Seagazer
YS's 13th birthday tomorrow (he was actually due on 28th Dec) so bad timing but turned out ok in the end. He asked for the tree up before his birthday this year. Normally goes up after.

Charlie7
My nieces birthday is the 24th. And here in Denmark we celebrate Christmas Eve (the 24th) not the actual Christmas Day.

I take the tree down after my birthday. Yes, but Jan 1st is very different to Dec. 28th - everyone is sick of eating and drinking by the 28th.........you can have a party starting on the 31st! My Dad's birthday is Jan 1st as well. Off topic - sorry.....back to trees......we have two outside trees with lights on, one set solar so they're on all year round. We put a tree in the porch but not 'til nearer the day...... We haven't had an indoor tree since having a puppy.

The Dogmother
I'll buy the tree this weekend and Rosie likes to decorate it. Ruby gives it a sniff, then ignores it as do the cats.I had a 4 month old kitten one christmas - she brought down a 6 foot tree one night
Calamity Jane
We are off to buy our tree today - so excited. Might have to wait for weekend to decorate so pictures later !!
meezers
Think we might get our tree this weekend, I'm just now working out where we'll put it.We'll get a real one but I can't decide if it will have roots so we can plant it outside, or just sawn off so we can shred it for the garden. We have 3 cats who've never bothered with the tree, but our Birman did chew through 3 sets of lights one year - luckily they were unplugged at the time

So far we've been lucky and tree has stayed up - could this be the year cats manage to dismantle it? Mine leave the baubles alone, but my Birman chewed through three sets of lights and my Siamese removed three little angels and ate their feathery wings- I found their little 'corpses' on the living room floor next morning
