Exams are sooo stressfull even after they have been sat

Recommended Posts

My final Chartered accountancy exam was on 3rd November and I am increasingly becoming stress at finding out my results (later this month), I find myself looking at the clock all the time - like its going to count down quicker and thinking what if... Have I or haven't I!! grrr...

I am trying to do things to pass the time so results day comes quicker but I swear I can hear and feel my heart and chest thumping :-S

And to make it worse my employer keeps on going on about "when i pass" and how he wants me to go on to be a Chartered Tax Advisor... eee explosion time lol

I really think that exam pressure is not healthy and I am sure institutions have a lot to answer for in the stress and time taken to give out results :-( I am keeping my fingers and toes crossed for a pass because I can't bear the thought of having to do all the extra work to resit in July :-S

Horlicks to sleep I think!!!

Oh I remember that feeling...

And I knew that when the envelope arrived, I would know instantly whether I had passed or not, as my title on the front of the envelope would have changed if I had passed. I can still remember picking up the envelope and almost being too scared to turn it over to see "who" they had addressed it to!

(Wasn't the same set of exams you are taking.)

Loads of luck - hope you find ways of distracting yourself between now and your results arriving!

It is a horrible feeling, waiting for the thing to turn up and then plucking up the courage to open the it. I've been like it for two of my kids 11+ results. The third one is sitting hers this Friday and then we have the anxious wait till March 2nd for the results. I hope we will be third time as lucky

Good luck with your results. I'm sure you won't need it though :D

Good luck - I hope you pass. My DD has just started out in the same thing. :D

Edited to add: I'd forgotten what she was like when she had exams and revision to do as she's been away at uni for the last 4 years. Wow it was not fun earlier this month when she had her first two exams. We'll have to batten down the hatches until she passes them all I think.:roll:

Eurghhh

I hate exams... revision... results.

I was kind of lucky with A levels 'cos I already knew I had my Uni place, but it meant I didn't do any work so results were rubbish after :? At least they didn't count towards Uni!

Good luck :D

I know what you mean, I got more and more nervous waiting for ED's GCSE results in the summer even though i would have been very surprised if she hadn't done well.

I feel for you and Bluekarin you too, we went through 11+ for the 3rd time last year, with a positive outcome thank goodness. Fingers crossed for your DD and to you Stehaggen

My Grandson sat his 3 hr Eleven plus exam today....i have been a bit of a wreck most of the day waiting to ask how it went........"My maths was good , but the verbal reasoning , I might have got about 90. It was harder than the Mock". he says bless him he isn't 11 till xmas week.

His Mock was very good an average of 90%........But they don't give you any results this time until the school placements come out in MARCH....

I can't wait till March !

He has his clarinet grade 4 exam on wednesday.......dance exams on saturday and a christmas show in the evening...He never gets stressed ...he is so laid back he goes backwards ....

And he wants to be a scientist .

Thanks for all the good luck wishes - i will let you know how i get on :-S

Good luck to everyone else who has sat or is sitting exams.

A tip for anyone who is doing the chartered exams - read all of the institute information, I found that the information produced by my learning provider had no where near enough information in it . x
