The Dogmother
They feel loose (I have slim feet) but they don't fly off.
The Dogmother
These are the Coolers I mentioned: http://www.dickies.bootz.co.uk/shop/category.asp?catid=51 They're not nearly as pretty as Crocs Kate - they also do Ugg style boots!

The Dogmother
I didn't see that. I don't think they're ugly... Crocs look especially good on kiddies' feet.
bronze
Am I the only person on the forum who doesn't get the appeal of crocs? Me sort of. See the other crocs thread

Popcorn
they are getting very common and find that a bit off putting.....Anne Hmmm...I have to admit, I think this about Crocs too Anne. But, does that really matter. Comfort for ones feet should be top priority!

But, does that really matter. Comfort for ones feet should be top priority! Common or not i love my Crocs - comfort first after spending the day in heels its so good to come home and wear them. I have seen a few folks in them however mine always seem to attract attention so they cant be that common.
Cate in NZ
they are getting very common and find that a bit off putting.....Anne Hmmm...I have to admit, I think this about Crocs too Anne. But, does that really matter. Comfort for ones feet should be top priority! OK, I admit I probably am common.......... never had any pretensions to be much else (as long as common doesn't mean chav- I never wear Burberry or large hoop earrings ), and like Gina said comfort is a priority. That said I wouldn't wear Crocs for work or a night out, just in the kind of casual situations where I used to wear trainers. I love them, but for the way they make my feet feel, not necessarily for the way they make my feet look
SarahJo
I have not seen that many other peeps wearing Crocs ... just one other mum in the playground, a little boy at sainsbury .. and most recently, a lady with red caymans/beach @ Macc Town FC on the pitch after the game
SarahJo
Just had a thought .. maybe I live in a fashion repressed area . Others are due to wear crocs on my recommendation
feemcg
Well Birkenstock fans, met Louise in Glasgow this afternoon and dragged her round some shoe shops and we found Birky's version of crocs, Bimbis - a bit 'firmer' than crocs and no holes but quite comfy. Guest
OK, I admit I probably am common.......... never had any pretensions to be much else (as long as common doesn't mean chav- I never wear Burberry or large hoop earrings ) Is that you slagging off our very own Queen of Chav - Lesley? I know for a fact that she's never to be seen without her Burberry, large hooped earrings or in fact, her hoodie - eh Lesley?

It is funny I see I'm getting a reputation now then I have started wearing socks in my Georgie wellies - which is a pain as i always have bare feet in my Caymans - but it does stop the embarrassing noises

The Dogmother
I think the Birkenstock ones are called Birkies rather than Bimbis http://www.footshopping.com/main.cfm?wgID=496&MI=6&MID=19841 They're about £34 though
feemcg
Thats the ones Clare, I could have sworn the writing embedded on them said Bimbis cos I joked that its the surname of my daughter's friend. We saw the plain ones and ones that looked like off-roaders with an ankle strap.
