I candled last night and im not very happy, sorry guys

The shells are so thick i could only really be sure about one of the eggs, after going through 12 of them and only been able to see the one, i decided to leave the others and try again in a few days time.

I may even jsut leave them all in and see what happens

 

Yeah, just leave them in and we'll keep everything crossed!! It'd just be my luck for Gustav to be infertile, after all that!!!

I have today ordered a new torch so when i get it, i will try candling again....keep those fingers crossed

Excuse me how did Gustav who lives in Midlands then West Yorkshire have his wicked way with Mostin's chooks who live the other side of the MI, and whoes eggs ended up a long way further east Was there shananigans going on at the show or is it done by syringe and carrier pigeon

Disaster! This morning i had to take out 1 egg which had cracked! The membrane was still intact so im hoping it hasnt affected the other eggs. Fingers crossed guys

Yes it arrived wednesday and i candled them again but i just could not see anything honestly, your chooks must lay bomb proof eggs!

Im checking them for smells and cracks all the time other than that, im leaving them and we'll just see what happens

double check you are candling at the blunt end of the egg Sandie - it doesnt work at the sharp end

Well, its day 19 and i have just heard definate cheeping Dont wanna count my chickens before they hatch ( ) as its still early days and anything could happen.....but Yay!
