Are you sure it's nearly June??!

I can make it rain.

I have two sure fire ways which never fail

1. Hang washing out under a clear blue sky and then go out for the day.

2. Get your hair looking just as you would like it to and then go out without an umbrella.

I have a fool-proof way of making it rain - promise your children a BBQ for tea......:lol::lol::lol:

It's foggy and cold here as well, although the sun is clearly trying to break through. We had a scorcher yesterday, yet chookiehubbie says that Edinburgh had thunderstorms and teeming rain all day!

No it was evening about 7/8pm Clare the cats were all sleeping in the conservatory while I went round unplugging everything (lived in a house that got stuck once) and I am very paranoid now until it happens to you most people have no idea how much damage a thunder strike does :evil:

I am also terrified of thunder and lightning I knew it was coming and drove like a demon to make sure I was in the house before it struck :cry::roll:

You mean you didn't get the thunder last night Shona

I had a river running inside the conservatory it was coming down that hard

:shock::shock::shock::shock::shock:

Really?? Honestly, it was lovely here all day, and I had to go find the boys to bring them in for bed at 9:15pm, as the weather was lovely so they were up at the park with their friends.

It rained all evening but for about an hour there was thunder it was right overhead at one point the cats were sleeping and I was the one hiding under the table

Despite loving storms, I have to admit to being concerned when it's right overhead. After the thunderbolt just missed my folks place, I could taste my fillings for days afterwards. Good job I don't have a pacemaker!

There was a large hole in the roof, one of the roof joists was damaged, the chimney needed repointing and most of the electrical items and all phones in the house were fried the only room not affected was the kitchen. The count was:

3 TV's

2 VCR's

1 Computer

1 Printer

Boiler controller

Lizard cage Thermometer

Alarm system needed completely rewiring

3 telephones

Total cost about 8K and this was 10 years ago

It was the whole inconvenience of everything being broken at once as well

There were roof tiles all the way up the top of the 70ft long garden too  After the event we noticed the car had been chipped too but it was too late by then to claim
