Alis girls
OH told me this morining he had a dream last night about a zombie living in our loft. He is due to visit the loft today to put some stuff up there. In our old house the person who lived there before us left an old wardrobe in the loft (Narnia dimentions) we never got round to getting rid of it even when we moved but if I went up there to get something I always checked it first for dead bodies I think I might have been watching too much CSI. Fridges are another thing I'm not keen on opening till I've reassured myself theres no heads lurking in them The attic thing stems from reading the book "flowers in the attic" . I feel the same way about cellars - not keen on dark spooky places. What spooks you?

beach chick
clowns freak me out. also masks. combine the two and I climb the walls in terror also really hate horror movies, especially those ones where the heroine bravely enters the dark cellar/spooky woods/axe-murderer filled empty building etc etc.
sadietoo
Clowns for me too...also those hall of mirrors things...in fact I think a lot of fairground images are slightly freaky when I come to think of it!

Tutti Frutti
I hate pulling curtains/locking doors downstairs if it's dark outside - just in case a face suddenly appears outside
Egluntyne
Clowns, China Dolls,Baby Dolls and Polystyrene all freak me out Add to that ventriloquist's dummies and anything Punch and Judy related for my list. Oh, and Angela Lansbury and Dick Van Dyke. I can't be in the room if either of them are on the telly.

patsylabrador
Things don't spook me particularly, but I did get seriously spooked once when I was on foot patrol in the middle of the night. I was checking an alleyway & my torch wasn't working, the radio signal was gone & I reached a point where there was no street light. I don't know why but I suddenly felt absolutely terrified & ran as fast as I could back to the street. I really hoped no one saw me. It was not dignified. Alis girls
Don't like faces or clowns or that Chucky doll thing. The boys hate clowns and so did OH as a kid - poss something in the genes handed down. Love horror films - OH says I love being scared - dont watch as many now I'm older as spook more than I did as a child
bluekarin
Being the only adult in the house at night with the kids. Going to the loo in the middle of the night. Or downstairs. The worry of being woken up by a noise in the night. Ghost stories. Horror films. Too tense programmes. Going out into the garden when its dark. Having the curtains open when it's dark outside. Walking out in th streets when its dark. There's a theme forming here. Can you tell what it is yet? I am such a wuss

Apart from the ghost stories, horror films, tense programmes, I like stuff like that But darkness, especially outside! I don't know why or what I thinks out there but it just makes me so nervous haha. And when I hear a noise in the night I'm completely awake for about 10 minutes just to listen out for any other noises I'm fine with clowns etc, I don't get whats scary about them!? But then again, others probably don't get why I'm afraid of the dark!

beach chick
Sam and bluekarin - I quite LIKE the dark! in my own garden at least, where I know what the noises are... but clowns are just really weird, and quite horrible with that make-up which disguises their faces. and masks do the same - if you cant see their face properly, how do you know what they REALLY are (scares self....) that Dr. Who episode where the kids' faces kind of turned into gas masks and they wandered round saying "are YOU my mummy?" completely did for me. so much so the kids just have to repeat the phrase now and I turn into jelly. wuss city here! craftyhunnypie
The loft hole spooks me - I always think something could be lurking there. I hate full length mirrors, as I imagine seeing a ghost in them looking back at me. I hate driving past the statue in the graveyard on my way home, I also hate the spooky angels in the grave yard too. But my big spooky thing is being the last one up the stairs. I have to go first, with hubby behind. I have an extremely vivid imagination - so have to be careful of thoughts in my mind before going to bed... I have to make sure that there are no scary adverts or horror things on tv before bedtime. A scary film will haunt me for weeks after.
