Apparently there was a eglu on last night.

I watched most of the programme but didn't notice it - anyone see it?

I thought that too, I did wonder how he was planning to get away with using that name. I don't think spelling 'egglu' with an extra 'G' would be sufficiently different for Omlet not to be a bit cross about it!

It's not uncommon for same or similar names to be used for different products - Dove soap and Dove chocolate are made by two entirely different companies. It's only really an issue if they are similar products.

 

You can see why the chap has called his product Egglu (or Eggloo, I'm not sure how he's spelling it). His product is egg shaped and it goes in a loo.

Is there much Omlet can do - have they trademarked the name? The toilet Egglu is used in a completely different product area, much as Polo can be a mint or a Volkswagen - although Eggloo would have been more appropriate. But I agree, yuk subject and I actually couldn't watch anymore when he put banana down the loo and flushed it :vom:

Yes she did!

I thought Hilary was fab! A voice a bit like a bloke crossed with Deirdre Barlow - but she is good & down to earth!

 

The toilet man was spelling it Eggloo. I did laugh at his pitch & demo with the banana!

I must admit I did turn to hubby and say 'he can't use that name'. Not sure at all about the new dragon. I do wish she'd sit up straight and put her head up. She reminds me of a vulture, sitting with her head down and big shoulders. I think it will be interesting to see how she gets on as she is very straight forward. I think there will be quite a few clashes I think!

Having a few mins to kill I surfed for EGGLU and found their website here - how can they claim splashback can cause piles?

 

And... I didn't realise the Fried Egglu is spelt with a double g - so this toilet gadget has EXACTLY the same spelling as an Omlet product
