How Quickly Does Albendazole Work?

Does anyone use this? My aunt gave me a tin last year for chilblains.

I was eaten alive by mossies in Spain - horrid big itchy bites with yellow heads (anyone eating?) which OH enjoyed squeezing. Despite repellent antihistamines etc I was scratching like mad. Returned last week and found one bite where my sandal strap went - decided I had nothing to loose putting Zambuk on - blissssssssssssss. My friend came round yesterday - gets cellulitis with bites and scratching away - gave her some Zambuk to try - different woman - went from a woman possessed to calm itself. Just wondered if anyone uses it. Its available on amazon.

Never heard of it - having been bitten myself (yes - nice big yellow heads ) and I have just bought some tea tree cream to try. My bites are driving me crazy! Managed to get bitten on the boob of all places

I used to use it on my chilblains when I was a little girl- fabulous stuff!

I have Zambuk oil in the first aid kit - Rosie used to call it 'magic oil' when she was little. I just love the smell of it

Thanks - handy tip - I can remember having it a child for chilblains which strangely have ceased to become a problem my advancing years.

Sounds good - the daughter gets chilblains & I am always looking out for something for her to try on them.

We get bitten a lot too,as there is a stream in the garden.

Fab stuff - we had it as children on our grazes etc. We hadn't seen it in years, then when we went Thailand we found cute tins of it in Watson's ( like Boots). It was dirt cheap over there - I think you can get it online too. Brilliant for stings, ant bites everything! It's like a green vasalene.

Just hope it works for you all as otherwise will be lynched I was gobsmacked when the itching stopped and probved not just me either as my friend was so impressed shes getting some for her holiday. i always thought mossies went for areas like legs - a boob bite sounds now that would drive me nuts - the bra would have to go for a start

I went into Aldi today and noticed that they had mosquito bite zappers for sale (in their random item of the week section in the middle). At £3.49 I couldn't resist especially as I seem to be covered in bites at the moment from some mystery creature. It's a 'clicker' that generates static electricity. You hold it over the bite and give it several clicks, which feels like a small pinch. Apparently the static prevents the release of histamine and therefore stops the itching. I tested it as soon as I got into the car on a super itchy bite on my ankle - so far so good

I am a magnet for biting insects of all types and nothing seems to help with the itching - until now. I ordered a tin of Zam-Buk after reading your post and it arrived this morning - instant relief!

 

It is, as it says on the tin, unequalled as an embrocation! I shall carry it with me everywhere from now on.

I too am a magnet and the British mossies have had a field day on my back again - I think they see me and think "a la carte"

My tin has turned up today - smells lovely! Hmm - I haven't been bitten again so I hope I don't have to use it - perhaps it will repel them from the tin

Just the smell used to make us feel better as kiddies we spent a lot of time on rivers, fishing or sailing, so were always getting bitten

 

Another old favourite of mine is Hypercal Cream - anyone else use it?

 

Annie, yes it's sort of like Tiger Balm; I like both of them.
