sadietoo
I am for one very happy with the result this week, and couldn't wait to see the back of that awful awful woman...I love Audley's personality but I agree he probably won't be a great dancer ever...I HATE FOOTBALL (sorry to shout) and so it is very grudgingly that I have to say that I thought robby savage should get the points for hugest improvement There seem to be quite a few talented dancers this time so I think it will be a very hard fought concert whereas in other years there have been one or two who shine out as obvious finalists, but for the moment at least Russell has completely won my heart...no one moves quite like him
Seagazer
Watched Strictly last night, what a great show from Saturday (with the exception of Lulu, Nancy and Edwina). I'll even admit that Robbie Savage is a good dancer (still can't stand him though)! Russel had us in fits of laughter, he was enjoying himself so much. I really like Holly, Jason and Harry. The Dogmother
I do wish that they'd drop all the 'comedy' sketches shown during their training clips - all totally needless and makes the programme run even longer than it needs to. At least with iplayer I can forward through them and Bruce's jokes.
Griffin
Someone on another forum commented that there was 21 minutes of dancing on Saturday night, if they got rid of the 'comedy' the length of the show could easily be cut in half

The Dogmother
Thanks Griffin, that really made me smile. I'd love a night out with Russell Grant
pips_pekins
Thanks Griffin, that really made me smile. I'd love a night out with Russell Grant Me too Thanks Griffin, I've not had a chance to watch any Strictly yet so this is the first time I have seen Russell strutting his stuff! His enjoyment is so infectious and I think he was quite good. I hope he stays in for a while.
Seagazer
Brilliant, thanks Griffin. I love when they go round in a circle and Russell throws his head back. He really does enjoy himself.
Egluntyne
Fab. He has been the epitome of charm and good grace. You can't help but like him. Anyone spot another boa-gate moment? Note to wardrobe dept ... consign then to the bin before there is another disaaaaaahster.
chickencam
Yes I did I hate feather boas from when my girls were small, they had a couple in their dressing up box and there were always feathers everywhere
chickencam
Come on everybody who shon for you tonight???? I thought that Harry was great as were both Jason and Robbie. What was poor Holly wearing , it looked like it cramped her style at times too, she made a great start though. Chelsea was not so good tonight I am wondering if she can improve any further, unlike Alex who made a slow start in the competition but is now really coming into her own. I think that Nancy will go this week, she did a better job tonight but is so annoying, it makes me uncomfortable when she tries to get attention
Plum
But I thought she was so much better and found her more convincing than Anton, the dance just feels wrong with him doing it. Audley was too, I can't imagine the public not voting for him to stay he is such a gentle giant Dan annoys me in that he won't take constructive criticism, he wants to start listening to Craig. I loved Holly's outfit and thought she played the part really well even if her tango was a bit soft at times. Alex was amazing, I just love watching her. I thought the whole show was wonderful and don't want any of them to go.
Seagazer
Fantastic show last night. Loved Alex's viennese waltz, beautifully simple. The only one I probably didn't like was Dan, I can't warm to him at all at the moment. I think Nancy did a lot better but I do wish that Anton would just shut up, why does he always have to interrupt everyone, even Tess was trying to make him quiet when they were upstairs. He really annoys me and I don't enjoy watching him dance. Thought Rory did really well too as did Harry.
Mercedes55
Yes it was a great show last night, was the first time we had sat and watched the whole show as we managed to miss it last weekend and just caught up with bits of it on iPlayer. I thought Jason, Harry and Robbie were all very good and I think Robbie is gorgeous with his lovely blonde flowing locks I do hope Nancy goes though as she is just terrible I also think there is too much waffle during the show and it would be better to concentrate on the dancing and cut out all the stupid jokes which are never very funny and also the rehearsals too. I love listening to the judges and I think that's all the banter we need really. I am quite enjoying Saturday evening TV right now, Strictly followed by Merlin, bliss
Griffin
Holly looked as if she was wearing Bridget Jones knickers Very odd outfit choice Jason and Harry were both amazing. Russell was very sweet too
Lavenders_Blue
There were lots of great dances last night. I enjoyed Jason, Holly, Alex, Rory, Russell, Harry..... oh heck, I enjoyed them all! Nancy does irritate me though, I'd be happy for her to go this week. I agree there is an awful lot of waffle between the dances, Bruce's jokes (sorry Sir Bruce's jokes) are terrible and not in a good way, and Tess never really has much to say. Last night we were over at my parents watching Leicester Tigers get thrashed by the Scarlets in the rugby on Sky, they had Sky+ Strictly to watch after the rugby so we were able to fast forward through all the rubbish, which was a much better way of watching it! Egluntyne
It was the best show in ages. Jason, Harry and Robbie (I'm really warming to him) were fantastic. Lulu was a surprise, and to be fair, Nancy had improved.
Snowy
I know the audience don't like Craig's feedback, but you've got to admit, it gives them incentive to pull their socks up and work harder at it! The ones who got the worst feedback from him really improved this week, even if they weren't perfect. You could tell they'd at least tried. Loved the dances this week Jason is good isn't he? But by gum, he puts the hours in!
sadietoo
I really enjoyed yesterday's show and I am looking forward to finding out who goes tonight. ..I think it's a much harder choice than last year. Nancy, although annoying, danced well I thought. Overall I agree with you guys, I think Dan has to go..... Gosh it's going to be a tough competition this year, so many doing well already and it's only week two!
The Dogmother
I've not seen it yet, so I'll avoid this thread for a while.
Chickendoodle
Talking of Craig I think the dancers are thrilled when they get a high score from him as it really means something. I like him. Bruno seems to have turned into a caricature of himself and is just dramatic for the sake of it. Alesha I am a bit indifferent to but I can see that she is there from a performers point of view. Len seems to want to be Mr Popular. If the rules are no lifts (Lulu and Brendan) then all of the judges should deduct a point. Len saying that the music "needed" an illegal lift is just crazy as he is so picky usually on ballroom rules. My OH and I laughed and laughed at Anton's face when he realised he had to dance with the odious Nancy for at least another week She seems to have not the faintest idea what is going on - did you notice her unashamed plug last night "My next book is going to be about dancing with Anton". She is like a fish out of water and is definitely not part of the camaradie of the other contestants. Absolutely loving this series. There are so many really good dancers that I have no idea who will be in the final - you can usually have a reasonable guess at this stage. I think that Nancy, Lulu and Audley won't be there and probably Chelsee as well. I really like Anita but don't think she will make the final. Of all the others it could be any of them
chicken bark
I agree I think Craig is the best judge - he is the most consistent. Bruno is even more peculiar this series. Anton has started loving himself a bit too much. However I actually like Nancy. I think she is self mocking rather than taking herself too seriously. I think if you watch it thinking she is 'playing a role of a prima donna' then it is entertaining. Heavens forbid she is actually serious. This series I am pleased that even the dancers with less natural ability are all improving and trying rather than giving up early and just going for jokes. While I am on this 'critique' I hate the 'sunday' show. I wish they would stop trying to make out it is the next night and really the whole programme should only be about 10 minutes. chickencam
I agree about the Sunday show, why can't we go back to a results show on the Saturday evening, we really don't need all the suspense and waffle, a bit like X Factor but at least they keep the voting open and it really does happen on a Sunday. Do the BBC think that we are dim? A change of frock and audience doesn't fool me.
sadietoo
Very sorry to see Rory go tonight...he was no way worse than Nancy...... Artem's dancing just gets better and better though......to early to have a favourite really, but I would really like Harry to win!
Seagazer
I thought it was a shame that Rory went, I liked him. I thought Alex had a very poor dance on Saturday (even though she looked stunning). She had hardly any hip action and its no use James moaning about the judges who were complaining about the choregraphy. They all waste so much time on silly props or in her case rolling on the floor. I didn't think that Jason's music went with his dance. Loved Harry's dance though (even with the stairs - thought the whisper and kiss fitted in with the song). His was my favourite this week.
