Alis girls
Very sad - died today - another childhood memory gone. Anyone on Omlet ever been on Jim'll fix it? Might as well know your secrets. My friend wrote in to move the traffic cones on the M1 - we never got on the show.
Guest
A true gent! Who quietly raised millions (over 40 they say) for various charities. Not only did he act as an unpaid porter - but he did all the dirty unseen jobs as well! I bet he's spinning disc's upstairs tonight!
chuckmum6
I loved Jim'll fix it, a unique character, part of my childhood!

The Dogmother
Drove me mad but he gave a lot of joy to others. I bet he'll keep on fixing it from the 'other side'
chickencam
Not my favourite person, but did a ot for charity and definately the end of an era, part of my childhood. R.I.P.
kazmac
Yep, a remarkable man, even if he was a bit irritating at times! It's sad he died alone, though.
j00lz_12366
Dave calls it 'the jimmy saville effect' he can't/couldn't stand him-even more so after meeting him, but also couldn't completely knock him because of all his good works Either way he's at rest now
Ain't Nobody Here
Definitely a (weird) one-off. RIP
Cinnamon
Not my cup of tea either, but a good sort, doubtless. A mate of ours said there was nothing more disheartening as a man of 40 who has trained tirelessly for a marathon,to be plodding along & have Jimmy come tearing past you
Griffin
Jim fixed it for me

chick wiggle
So come on Griffin, 'fess up, we all wanna know what he fixed for you I 'met' him on Sutton Bank once, (a well known, and very steep yorkshire beauty spot) OH had our baby daughter in a baby carrier thing on his back and we were carefully and slowly making our way down when he came running up, called 'good morning' and said 'what a lovely baby' as he whizzed passed Lovely man RIP Sir Jimmy
Looney
RIP Jimmy. We chased him once in a Morris Minor! A few of us were out for the day in our friend's old morris minor and I pointed at an old chap jogging along in the distance in a red track suit and said (jokingly) "Hey, look it's Jimmy Saville!". As we got closer we all gawped and said "It really IS Jimmy Saville!". My friend did a U turn and we tried to go after him - but he was already gone like the wind! Not quite sure what we would have done if we'd caught up with him!!
Chickendoodle
Strange man but undoubtably did lots of amazing stuff for charity. All the people they interviewed after his death said the same thing - "Ooops, word censored!"ody knew the real Jimmy Saville as all he would let you see was his show-biz persona.
