Sam
Saw the title and thought of this kind of buggy, not quite as cool
Chicken deficient
hmmm, I'm sure my little boy would think it was great, but I'm not so sure it would fit in my car boot...

Griffin
My last one was a Mamas and Papas Pliko Pramette and I loved it! I wanted something reasonably cheap and cheerful where my baby could lie flat and face me. It was perfect for that. Here she is in it on her first visit to Towcester races, aged about 12 days. I think this is the only moment she slept for her first two years. It was probably for only two minutes because I remember her screaming the whole time we were there
Chicken deficient
She looks lovely and very sweet! I'll post my question anyway... I've got a big three wheeled buggy for country walks. It's really comfy and padded, with a foot rest that raises up for snoozes. My little boy, (20 months), obviously likes it. He sleeps in it regularly too. However, being so big and wide and heavy, I got a different buggy for in the car and travelling etc. It doesn't have a leg rest though, and he can't reach the foot rest. I worry that he is uncomfortable with his legs dangling and not being able to adjust his sitting position. So, now I keep thinking that I should get a little Maclaren, so that he can move about a bit and have his legs supported but then I think I may be suffering from morebuggies disease and that having 3 would be bonkers. Sensible advice appreciated...I think having dozens of buggys is within normal limits for mumsnetters!
Redwing
I love the fact that mama Griffin set this thread back on track Though I do love that yellow go kart I don't have kids but if I did I think a third buggy should be a small one that's easily lobbed in the car and easy to put up, when I was a kid I had a stripey buggy that could be kicked at the back and would spring up, excellent if you have buggy in one hand and child in the other. So in short the last one looks good to me
miffy
I am amazed at the different buggies.....how things have changed. No advice from me I'm afraid unless you talk Cindico, Streng, or Silver Cross prams lol
Egluntyne
Mine all went in a MacLaren sit up and beg stripey stroller for short journeys. Their legs did dangle a bit, but they never complained.
The Dogmother
I had a big mother-facing pram for Rosie, it converted into a mother-facing pushchair when she was old enough to sit up. I used that most of the time but had a MacLaren fold up jobbie for the car boot.
ClaireG
Having worked as a nanny and being a Mum, i have used a multitude of buggies in my time. I agree with Redwing, make sure it's easy to put up and down and also easy to get your little one in and out of. Standing in the pouring rain or freezing cold fiddling with a buggy is not good fun! Having 3 buggies is not that bonkers One family i worked for had one child and 5 buggies
Looney
Ok. My opinion.... If you are considering three pushchairs then it MUST be because each one has their own purpose that the others don't fulfil sufficiently. Right, so you've now answered yes to that question....so I reckon something like a maclaren is an ideal third option! Easy. Go and buy one! I have two pushchairs (so far ). A single, sturdy and not too light Bebeconfort Loola that we used for Bogwoppit number 1 until Bogwoppit number 2 came along. We then got a double pushchair (a BabyWeavers one from Kiddicare, does the job and a fraction of the price of a Phil and Teds). Now Bogwoppit 1 is older, I am considering getting something like a Maclaren and having a buggy board on the back for when he's too tired to walk. We could use the Loola but it is quite heavy and we need as much boot space as possible now that we have two Bogwoppits worth of stuff to cart around. However we could make do with the Loola......hmmm
craftyhunnypie
OMG my sister was obsessed with prams when she had her first. Goodness knows what she will be like when baby girl is born soon. She had a Pilko Pramette and a quinny zap, plus a Quinny buzz for round the farm. Various others that she picked up second hand because she liked the look of them. Then she bought a pram called a skate. That was nice but dangerous - baby nearly fell out of that! Then back to some other quinny, then back to the pilko pramette! She's already bought a double pushchair for new baby girl & her first who will be just 2 and a half when baby girl arrives. Think it's a Phil & Teds?? No doubt she will collect them again. Very amusing to me! Me & my sis were brought up in Silver Cross prams. My dad always goes on about how the springs were great for getting us to sleep. The Dogmother
Silver Cross were excellent prams in the old days - I had one too.
whoopsie
Buggy maths sounds a lot like chicken maths!!!! So far we have got the vintage Marmet that's arriving after Ichabod is born, and I plan on babywearing a lot, but whe it comes time to get a lightweight buggy for the car i'll be visiting an NCT nearly new sale and getting something cheap!!!!!!! Probably a MacLaren. Nearly every mum I know has one so they must be worth it!
soapdragon
We decided to get a smaller, fold up for the car and went for a Zapp. I hate it and its currently on the local website For Sale section ! Hopeless in the rain as the rainhood just didn't seem to fit ! Having had several buggies/pushchairs for both boys at varying ages/stages my favourite is the Pegasus Land Rover but these are no longer made so its E-bay or getting lucky in the local ads; they are worth their weight in gold! If you are looking for a basic umbrella fold for the boot its probably worth going to your local pram centre/Mothercare and driving the staff mad by putting them all up and taking them all down to see what suits you best - after all, its your dosh!! Good luck!
Reikiranf
I bought a Mamu (it's actually made by Mammas & Pappas) Jump stroller from Argos when it was on offer, I use it for my Grandson, he's happy in it, it's nice and light, easy to fold and it steers so easily I can go round the supermarket pushing it with one hand with a basket in the other hand. My friend was so impressed that she bought one as she has twin grandsons, so if we go out together when I'm not looking after my Grandson we have a twin each, so it's much easier than getting around the shops with a double buggy . BarbaraJ
I have been a parent for 25yrs and a child minder for 20 so have been through a few buggys At the moment i have my favourite buggy ever the Baby jogger City select, its easy to fold but not compact. You can't go wrong with a maclaren or cheaper but just as good a Silver cross Pop.
