Just seen a notification email, and noticed it's now being sent on behalf of Tom's email, not Barbara's. I'd sort of got used to seeing Barbara in my inbox.....

I immediately thought of The Good Life and thought Felicity Kendal had died.

OK, amended the title accordingly. The last thing I'd want to do is accidentally start a rumour like that....

I know from my time as a Mod that both Barbara & Tom share the admin work of the forum - Tom often takes over when Barbara goes on holiday for example

[Snowy]

Barbara has retired so the main contact is now Tom

[Purplemaniacs]

Tom was very helpful when I contacted him about a that was for sale and I had not had a response through the forum.

It does look odd though in my emails had got used to seeing Barbara, I hope she has a happy retirement.

I can see you in a caftan Lewis.....

Barbara will be sorely missed but has spent 7 years helping, baking and cleaning Omlet HQ. Enjoy your retirement Babs!

I noticed that when I looked in my spam folder, unfortunately Tom's emails had gone straight in there.

Happy retirement Barbara and hello Tom

[WitchHazel]

Happy retirement to Barbara, she is such a lovely lady.

Thanks for all your help.

I'm not Margo - Lewis, but I do get called Penelope darling! Some of our ways are a bit tongue in cheek - I mean we have a tea trolley which we use for posh coffee in teacups with saucers!!!

Aww I will miss Barbara. It was through her that I got to chicken sit 3 lovely chickens once upon a time!

I'm sure Tom will be ok though.
