sage
DD 3 years old woke just passed midnight feeling sick, by 5am we had gone through 4 changes of beding on her bed and 2 on ours. She's feeling loads better this morning The bath is full of washing, the whole house stinks. Main jobs today is now cleaning carpets and washing inbetween plenty of cuddles and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. pips_pekins
Oh dear, although I think this just a typical day isn't it Ali ? Today is my day off (I do 9 out of 10 days) and I had planned to do nothing much, apart from the ironing and watching The Killing 2, as I am battling a cold. DS decided to get a vomiting bug and so all my plans have changed as I now have a load more washing and cleaning to get through in addition to my Florence Nightingale duties. I'm not superstitious about the date but this is not quite the Friday I have been looking forward to
pips_pekins
Sage, our posts crossed. It's horrible isn't it? Hope your little one is feeling better soon.
sage
Cheers Pips. Hope your DS feels better soon. My DD is feeling loads better this morning she's curled up on the sofa with her teddy watching TV. So much for me having today off as a days holiday to decorate. chickencam
Oh the joys of parenthood. I am always glad when a Friday 13th passes without incident, although I did manage to give birth to my YD on Friday 13th, so I supose if I can do that then maybe it's ok. I hope all of the poorly people get well soon, there is so much illness around this year, i think that it is the mild weather, even my chooks are suffering whereas they were fine throught the coldest weather last year. maybe this cold snap will get rid of a few bugs for us. Mum
Get well wishes to all those under par today. So far so good and F13 hasn't had any impact on me or my crew - fingers X'd it stays that way. We're having pizza tonight you could always send them around to mine. Only rule in my house is that everyone mucks in when it comes to washing up/drying and putting way. Chortle Chook
Had a barney at work with a customer who would not pay up Customer inisted on talking to my manager who told the customer not to worry - "it is such a small amount it won't matter". Little does he know that this customer is always not paying up. Felt cross and humiliated
emily95
Don't usually believe in it, BUT today... The strap on my bag snapped - nightmare! Then, I had a chemistry exam this afternoon, but the automatic doors to the exam hall were locked when i got there (i was still 5 minutes early [i'd had a lesson at lunch so hadnt gone in with everyone else] there were other people still missing!) so I got all worked up, and then the exam paper was the worst I've ever seen! It was the most horrendous exam ever. oh dear. and I'd done so much revision, all the past papers went really well, but today's exam - hideous. WHAT A NIGHTMARE. sparkysmum
T..and Hazie's migraine cleared quickly Awww thanks for that. It did but after months without a migraine, she's had 2 in a week She's such a happy , active wee thing I really don't want them to flair up again. Don't know what triggers them..............grrrrrrrrrr. Alli x
Chook n Boo Mum
How old is she Alli? Am thinking the dreaded hormones......stress triggers mine, plus bright lights, OD'ing on chocolate and peanut butter on white bread sandwiches .......I know of oranges, cheese & red wine being triggers just in my family....Have you kept a food diary? if I'm sick, it's food related usually! Also I find feverfew tincture to be the best thing in the world for migraines.....as it tastes like Jeyes fluid I refuse to take it daily, unless I've had a run of them! I take a double dose ( sorry to dosage pedants ) at the first sign of an attack, then more once I can see again and the tingling/numbness passes.....it doesn't stop it, but does seem to speed the symptoms through so normal service can be resumed much more quickly......once it gets to headache stage i can function again......and it's not just me, I've given it to complete strangers camped next door to us & it worked for him too....believe me, if you're in the grips of a migraine, you'll try almost anything! I hope you work out her triggers, my first one arrived when I was 9-10......scary!.......{hugs}to you both Sha x
