ilovechickens
Just wondering....does anyone know if there is such a thing as a chocolate patch? I watched my Oh put on his nicorette patch this morning and it made me wonder is there such a patch for a chocoholic? giving up smoking as seemingly been trouble free for hubby-and as i have a couple of stone to lose I wondered if they did patches for poor folk like me who can't resist the chocolate stuff! Bramble
Oh if only ... I wonder if just sticking a chocolate button (or a digestive, come to that) on your skin would work ... maybe that's what that chocolate body paint you used to be able to get was for ... The Dogmother
sounds like Phil; he thinks that you can absorb vitamins by walking down the veg aisle in a supermarket
lizinsa
There was a programme on BBC1 last week that proved that chocolate wasn't addictive, the craving was just learnt behaviour I just think the Drs hadn't met me yet I think I eat relatively healthily but I'm definitely of the opinion a little of what you fancy does you good
craftyhunnypie
You can get crave sticks. Sort of smelly plastic scented sticks that you sniff when you want chocolate. Think they are vanilla, chocolate & something else sweet scented. To me they are odd. Let me sniff the real thing! Emma.x
The Dogmother
Isn't that just transferring the habit to something else? OK, it's less fattening but surely it's better to tell yourself that you don't want/need it.
bluekarin
Cake patches would be good too I only usually have a choc craving once a month and I Have To Have IT! Then the next day, nah, don't want any thanks. I saw the programme about the nations fave foods. Thought it was quite interesting. I timed how long I brew our tea for and turns out I do it for a good amount of time so we are getting our flavinoids. Interesting about the salt in foods, although I think the sushi one was a bit misleading ie the salt was due to the soy, which not all people have. patsylabrador
We drove all the way to Street today and I got some great clothes bargains, visited glastonbury, one of my favourite places but more importantly we bought a carrier bag of Cadbury's. I had mostly ignored it until I read this thread, just popping out to the kitchen now.......
Chook n Boo Mum
oh that there were .......lent starts today, so chocolate stopped yesterday................I do it every year, and always feel so much better for it........just doesn't last for long after Easter My nearest & dearest have been instructed....if I am seen with chocolate (especially for the first week) either it or I have to be removed
Valkyrie
Oooo wants a choccy at the show on Saturday den? I decided I'd give up taking care of mother (well with some help from her as she's decided it's my brother's turn for the next 20 years and moved near him - I wouldn't hold my breath if I was her). I was told that was a bonus and that I wasn't missing out on anything, so bearing that in mind I feel that Lent owes me instead and so I shall be going gung ho in scoffing all that mother didn't like seeing me eating. Ah that's it - I'm giving up being a goodie goodie!
