Lose 8lb in 8 weeks? Healthy Eating Chat 3

Recommended Posts

Having faffed around since January, I met up with a friend last week who, having been sent on a "Desmond" course by her GP as she was pre diabetic, had lost 3 stone and looked fantastic. This finally inspired me - so I've signed up to WW online once again and at the end of week 1 have lost 3.5lb; "ONLY" another 2 stone to go...

I'm madly eating all the zero points food & trying not to listen to the siren call of the Green & Black's white choc bar that I bought to share with my friend, - who has now signed herself off chocolate for keeps

Would be glad of online encouragement, as I have to keep the whole thing very low key at home...OH doesn't get it at all, & DD has had an eating disorder in the past, so I am being really careful not to trigger anything for her.

The my fitnesspal is still working for me as I seem to have lost another pound. I enjoy filling in the 'diary' and it is helpful to see if you are on track. In the past if I over indulged I would think that as I had messed up I might as well continue to have more calorific foods but this seems to stop me :D

Great to hear of others success

Had a big Jubilee Brunch after special service this morning - & am busy polishing my halo as despite an amazing array of pastries, cakes & all sorts of illicit delights, I restricted myself to 1 (very enjoyable) croissant and loads of fruit. Oh, and a glass of Buck's Fizz.

This isn't going to be an easy weekend to stay sensible, but I'm doing my best, really!

Another 2 pounds this week, running total 1 stone 6 pounds. One more pound for 1 1/2 stone, 2 pounds for another mile stone 4 pounds takes me to no longer over weight. Must admit it is getting a lot harder now but I did go out for a meal on Sunday and still kept on track.

Good luck all.

Yay Couperwife...that's brilliant :D

I've managed 5lb in 3 weeks if yesterday's sneak preview can be relied on...Only 2 weeks til my boys come home from uni & I so want to be back in the 11s by then - but don't think I'll make it unless I crash diet, which is so not sensible I'm not even considering it. WW is working for me - as much as anything, the fact that I've paid the fee means that I have a constant disincentive to sabotage myself by evil chocolate delights...

The elusive pound has gone so now manged one and a half stone :clap::clap::dance::dance::dance:

My trousers now no longer fit my belt has tightened by 6 holes to keep said trouser up and I've dropped a size in tops. I said to my husband this morning that all my t-shirts have stretched as they come down a lot further

Good luck all.

Hi - can anyone help (please) :anxious:

Does anyone know how many Slimming World Syns ..Asda Chosen by you No added Sugar Flavoured Sparkling Water is?

I've got a few different flavours, as don't drink any alcohol. Just wondered if Syns or not. Some are 5 kcals per 250ml, some are 4kcals per 250ml. I don't have a directory, so can't look it up.

Thanks..

Well done on the weight loss, everyone  .

Mine has tailed off but I'm glad to say I'm still keeping the same good eating habits. I've only had about 2 biscuits in about 3 months, no crisps at all, haven't bought chocolate once and am still managing to snack on healthy things. Still having the occasional pudding but try to make the portions tiny.

I'm going to step up the exercise once the holidays start (next week  ) so hope to lose a few more pounds then.

Ooo thanks for that Couperwife. I shall gladly drink lots of it. :D After my health scare with my Gallbladder, it made me look at things differently. Want to lose another 2 stone for Xmas - which looking at 1lb a week - it is achievable.

Jaffa cakes - I just daren't buy those - I would eat the whole box!:oops:

I'm so glad I can make a shepherds / cottage pie - totally Syn free, as it's one of my favourite meals & quick & easy!

We were stuffed last night & got some left over for lunch today.

Well done everyone - some fab losses going on here. Oh & ANH, I truly admire your will power - wow!

Who wants to be "normal" Crafty?

I have lost 3lbs this week helped by an allergic reaction to mayonnaise, I know I shouldn't eat but.....now I know why. So I am now no longer over weight, but wether this will continue once I start eating again today we will just have to wait and see.

Good luck all.

Nothing wrong with a treat from time to time, sounds lovely :D

We just discovered a box of 5 day out of date French Fancies in the cupboard, so we thought that we had better eat them before they went off, is it true that out of date food has no calories??? thought not Oh well never mind what's done is done. I would swear that they were fresher than non out of date ones sometimes are :?
