Space Chick
My name is Debs and I'm a knitting-aholic This addiction began only 2 months ago, and in that time I have knitted one scarf, one poncho, 4 bags and 2 jumpers. I am starting a cardy today. I also bought a large underbid storage for wool.... This is now full as is an ottoman at the bottom of my bed. I woke up in the night and I bid on 4 lots of wool on eBay(currently highest bidder), and am awaiting delivery of a wool I won a few days ago, and a lot arrived yesterday Is there a support group? Is there any hope for me? Yours in anticipation Debs

Jennifer Jane
You are not alone!!! I'll admit it, I am a woolaholic too. The problem is that there's so much beautiful yarn out there nowadays. When I first started knitting there just wasn't the choice. Now I see gorgous yarn and have to have it there and then without any idea what I'm going to make with it. Like Kazzy I don't buy so much online, but I have a choice of craft shops quite nearby and I cannot walk by and then when I'm inside it would be rude to leave empty handed. The problem is I have so many UFOs that I need a deadline to finish them, so I am impressed that you've actually completed so much in such a short time. Well done. kazmac
Nope, I'm afraid there's no cure. I've checked! My husband would testify as to how much wool there is here and how much he hates it!
Space Chick
We've been on a day trip today to pick up hatching eggs.... Called into Monmouth and I found a lovely craft shop..... I may have bought some lovely Aran wool
craftyhunnypie
It only gets worse Debs & soon you will have to move house! When we moved - I couldn't believe how much wool I'd got. It was shocking & still is shocking! Anyone who doesn't knit, will never understand. My hubby actually gets it now. Plus I now have my spinning wheel to spin my own. I'll know where to send a few hanks of wool once spun then! Emma.x
Space Chick
Ok, my addiction has reached dangerous levels.... Pretty much every day a parcel arrives.... That parcel will contain a wool I just Had to buy. I have needed to buy 2 extra large underbed wheeled storage boxes to house all my wool and I have a third under the living room table. I am quite sure that if I don't buy another ball of wool ever I will still have enough here to knit a new wardrobe!! However, can I stop looking on eBay or online wool shops...... NO!!! I CAN'T At my current knitting rate, I honestly now have enough wool to last me a easily the next 6 months to a year... Probably more (working on an assumption of a new item every 10 days or so) I Should stop buying, I really really should. Can someone talk some sense into me
ClaireG
I thought my carrier bag full was a bit obsessive
craftyhunnypie
A lost cause! Says her who has just bought 10 reels of crochet cotton. I must admit that apart from the wool for the knit along. I haven't bought any wool for ages. Buuuuuuuut erm..... buying fat quarters & lengths of fabric has taken over. I have to say though, that they do get whizzed up into quick creations. My knitting takes so long to complete, that I always want to start a new project before finishing the last! Buy yourself a knitting shed or knitting caravan like I have. scubababe
Debs, you are not alone. I admit I am a WANNABE knitting holic I subscribe to the how to knit magazine which is in folders in the sittingroom table. the wool is footstool!! as is the gorgeous wool I just had to have from EBay along with the knitting patterns that I will learn to do Luckily when the post arrives my OH is at work so I can 'hide' my bounty before he sees it My ultimate goal is this gorgeous pattern I've got for a coat in mohair....it's gorgeous. I bought some mohair jumpers which I had made from an EBay knitter which are stunning...I want to be that good guess I need to get off this site & pick up my knitting needles
chickencam
I know what you mean, I have gone through obsessive knitting phases in my life and once I pick it up I find it takes over my life, so sometimes I am reluctant if i know that there are loads of other things going on. I have done very little whilst my children have been growing up, but now they are independent I am determined to return to the hobby that I love. I have an enormous wool stash.
