scubababe
How did you make them It looks like piped meringue Pure genius
munkee1965
Glad you like them The roses are piped buttercream and the daisies are made using mini marshmellows. I paint the inside of the piping bag with food colouring before adding the buttercream which gives the 2 tone effect.
scubababe
ehhum..instructions please They are fab....gotta give me a go
munkee1965
For the roses you will need a Wilton 2D piping nozzle and a batch of buttercream. I use 150gm unsalted Lurpak and 300gm of icing sugar and a splash of milk. Start piping from the middle of the cake and work your way around until you reach the edge. Da Da.....you have a rose. If you want the 2 tone effect. "paint" the inside of the piping bag with food colouring. I use the Sugarflair pastes. The more colouring you use the stronger the 2 tone effect will be. The daisies are REALLY easy. Just spread some buttercream over the cupcake. Cut mini marshmellows in half along the diagonal, you will have 2 triangles. Then carefully push the marshmellows into the buttercream working your way to the middle. The pink centre is sugar crystals bought from the supermarket. Sprinkle these into the middle and press down gently. Hope that helps. Anything else, just ask
Space Chick
Amazing Now I can bake a pretty tasty cake, but I am sooooooo pants at decorating them I am in awe of anyone with that level of decorating talent. munkee1965
Thanks for the lovely comments I bake for family and friends. This one was for a lady at work for her Grans 80th birthday. She thought they were real flowers, bless her. x
scubababe
I'm happy. Just checked my stash of nozzles & I have a No.2 and just watched about 7 different videos on youtube on how to do them. I can feel a 'next project' coming on!! Thank you for the inspiration

superkitty
Me too, I'd buy them! They are incredible - lovely to see something a bit different from the 'cupcake with sprinkles' that's the norm
Lavenders_Blue
Gosh they are so pretty - almost too pretty to eat! Like Space Chick, I can bake a decent cake (made a lovely honey cake this weekend) but when it comes to decorating, forget it. In fact, I usually bake cakes that don't require any decorating for that very reason!
