OMG have you seen the news, terrorist attack in Glasgow!

Recommended Posts

The loonies are coming out of the woodwork again.

Terrorists have attacked Glasgow airport with a burning car packed with gas canisters etc :shock::shock:

What kind of a mental attitude do you need to set fire to a car and try to kill innocent people with it?

The world is a strange place at times.

I was watching the news reports on BBC24 this afternoon. There are some very wicked people on this planet

Some Scottish Schools closed for the Summer break on Friday. How many families were there waiting for flights for a summer holiday.

:(:(:(:(

Have spoken to a couple of families who were in the airport at the time, all with children of similar ages to mine, and 'terrified' doesn't even begin to describe how they felt as the incident unfolded.

We obviously use Glasgow airport a lot when we go to visit mum. OH and 11 YO will be using it in 10 days time for him to go his holiday to Florida with my sister. Needless to say I don't feel too good about it this morning, but am doing the typical parent thing and not showing my fear as why should these people get the better of us. :!::!::!:

I think everyone needs to keep their eyes open everywhere they go and report anything suspicious. Those of us outside London have until now assumed that we are fairly safe, and that the terrorists would go for Heathrow.

It was strange that the two people who unwittingly saved so many people's lives on Friday night were (1) a young man so drunk that an ambulance had to be sent and (2) a traffic warden. Not usually everyone's favourites.

I work for an airline. Got called into work last night to deal with worried passengers/rebooking passengers and passengers cancelling flights. Didnt get home till 11.30 pm. On the whole everyone understood and were very patient whilst being dealt with.

You do get the odd annoying one though

bet its manic at work today....but im on a day off :D

That's the spirit, Lisa,

I had a bit of a strange experience at the Newsagents this morning.

The newsagent, an Asian chap seemed a bit odd, I felt that he felt that I felt that he felt that I might be thinking he was that way inclined too.

Sad really, it was almost as if he was waiting for me to have a pop at him.

Maybe a Moron already had.:roll:

I actually had a passenger the other day refusing to fly with us unless I could specify what ethinicity our pilots were  . I told him not to be so silly (well not exactly in those words  ) and advised him that no matter what religion/race/creed/minority our pilot was that they would be fully trained and security checked as all airline pilots are.

my job is sooo :wall::wall: sometimes,... I do a lot of this :roll:

Just got back from the caravan where I've been watching all this unfold - its all just too close for comfort. My aunt's house is just across the car park from where they did the first controlled explosion at the RAH hospital in Paisley. Also the maternity unit there is where I trained and worked for 10 years - the mat unit is right next to the Dr. and nurse accomodation where they have carried out 3 controlled explosions today. I lived there for 2 years  .

Also in another bizarre coincidence my ex (father of my eldest 2) lives a few streets away from the house of the 2 'bombers'.

God bless the people who were giving birth!

Mind you they would have shut the unit wouldnt they? :?
