I remember watching Virginia Wade in 1977 with my Mum- a Jubilee year too. Ooh, I wonder if Andy can do it?!

 

We've got friends coming to stay this weekend- I hope they like tennis!

My Mum is a really big tennis fan, but she didn't get to see Fred Perry even though whisper whisper ....she is old enough..., in fact, thinking about it, hardly anyone would have seen it would they, with TVs being a bit thin on the ground We are lucky

Don't know the stats but he can do it Was speaking to someone in the town a few mins ago who said that Andy has beaten Federer in the past...............now if only he can stay calm. Not much chance of the rest of us doing that tho'

Just hope that the pressure and nerves don't get to him

I was just driving back from the hospital and listening to it on the radio when Andy won - good job I was driving in a 30 mph limit and had an excuse to be driving slowly!

Molly asked what we were doing this weekend. Cleaning out the chickens tomorrow morning, watching Serena Williams win in the afternoon, and on Sunday watching even more tennis (although I'm not a Murray fan). She was disappointed to hear I had no plans to go out but at least we're not spending any money and we need to save our pennies for our holiday in three weeks.

She's just popped into work in Oxford with her dad while he faffs about with a broken server. She likes the hot chocolate vending machine there Two others are out with friends which just leaves me with a grumpy ten year old who was due to go to the cinema with a friend but her friend is ill so that's cancelled. I've promised her a DVD from Blockbusters and a bowl of popcorn. I should be able to watch sport all afternoon with no interruptions

I have recorded yesterdays semis due to looking after GS with tummy bug.....too busy running to the Loo...not always able to actually get up bless him, the washer was kept busy i can tell you...so i have watched the match this am.

So Pleased he is in the Final...well done Andy, i will be glued to the box tomorrow.

Think we'll be watching it at the Dunblane Centre or one of the hotels for atmosphere. Half the town will be there. One of the butchers made a kebab called "New Balls Please" (meatballs on a stick) and wimbledon sausages(pork sweet chilli and strawberry ) Wont be eating them myself but will serve them up for breakies tomorrow. Lots of reporters around despite the rain but I managed to dodge them
