chickencam
I have to admit to a tear in my eye too, well done Rebecca I am loving the sport and watching so many different sports and learning the rules. We even watched the women's beach volley ball, our girls did very well and it was an exciting deciding set. The Benny Hill music when they tidy the edges of the court is a bit surreal though
chickencam
The rowing was good this morning too.
craftyhunnypie
I watched the volley ball last night - we had a very good girls team against Canada. I was on the edge of my seat in the final set. I caught the swimming too! When are the gymnastics on again? Emma.x
Seagazer
I'm not sure re the gymnastics. We've managed to miss the GB team each time but caught up with Romania, Japan etc. Really enjoying the gymnastics, I think in the women's we're 5th aren't we? Saw the repeat of Beth Tweddle on the bars and she was fantastic.

chickencam
Just watched the diving, Tom Daley and his partner came 4th, the standard was so high.
Seagazer
It was such a shame, they were 1st until the 4th round but the standard was very high.
Chucky Mama
OMG the men's gymnastics was amazing. We had a silver for a short while but the Bronze was fantastic.

patsylabrador
I'm having so much fun. The BBC are showing so many events and I'm very excited that I will get to see good coverage of the sports that often get passed over. I am hoping to watch the mountain biking online and usually I only get to catch a glimpse. I'm surprised that Australia aren't more obvious in the swimming. The white water course looks pretty fierce, the Slovakian twins are phenomenal. There must be some telepathy going on. Loved the equestrian cross-country, Zara Phillips was fun to watch. I had no idea that their vests are airbags and the 'pull' is attached to the saddle. Very excited about rowing potential. I did watch the sailing but it is a very technical sport. The various arenas seem to have been well designed. Fingers crossed for the rest of the competition.

The Dogmother
The Japanese ladies' hockey team is called the Cherry Blossoms. Isn't that shoe polish? Rosie was glued to it yesterday after she finished work.. especially Tom Daly!

Egluntyne
Silver for GB in the Three day Eventing. Woo hoo! Loved the show jumping ring.
chickencam
The show jumping was so tense, but not as tense as last night's gymnastics. There just aren't enough hours in the day or media devices available to watch everything, we were watching the volleyball last night but had to give in and go to sleep, fortunately we won . Currently watching one of our girls in the badminton.
craftyhunnypie
The mens gymnastics - we got a bronze. I felt so sorry for the lad that fell from the bar. Even so, they did very well. They are so very strong! Emma.x
Purplemaniacs
I have been watching the archery, it so unusual to see archery on tv. In the individual Larry is throough to the 1/8ths but the two ladies today Naomi and Alison both went out, tomorrow we have Amy, Simon and Alan so fingers crossed for them. I have also watched some of the cross country and the show jumping. Chrissie
Seagazer
I watched David Florence in the C1 Canoe Slalom semi final but unfortunately he didn't get through to the final I'm currently watching GB ladies hockey and they are 2-1 up at half time At least I can tell DD that I watched (she plays for a local ladies team)
chickencam
So far today I have been glued to the Eventing, badminton, handball, and Hockey, so much sport I missed Andy Murray. Edited to say that I am working for the next 3 days, so I will miss loads
patsylabrador
I loved the Dad of the SA swimming gold medal winner. So beside himself with pride. ' Look at my beautiful boy'. Nice.
Looney
Oh he was so funny in a great way! Loved the fact that he was so excited that he couldn't help admiring his son every time he saw him and couldn't finish his sentences!
abwsco
DH and I have both been glued to the TV since he got home from work. It's our silver wedding anniversary tomorrow and we've decided to have a takeaway instead of going out for a meal so we don't miss the swimming. Oh, and what about that marathon tennis match although we only saw the last bit of that. I've also watched archery, rowing, show jumping and gymnastics today with a bit of water polo, hockey and football thrown in-lol
Lavenders_Blue
Had an amazing day yesterday at the cross country - so proud of our GB riders and their wonderful horses, they did us proud Greenwich Park was PACKED, I am not surprised there were no tickets left. It was quite difficult to get close to many of the fences. I think too many tickets were sold actually, as it was incredibly congested, but I can understand that the organisers wanted as many people to be able to attend as possible. The horses all coped outstandingly well with the unusual noise levels too (don't normally get people shouting and cheering at 3 day eventing), I was worried it would spook them, but they seemed to manage well. I just wish I had managed to catch the show jumping today, but we were travelling back from London, so I missed it. I'm just thrilled I was able to go. Lots more sport to watch over the next couple of weeks anyhow
