Nicola H
You would have to put newspaper on the floor and make sure they didn't stray too far...........Sweetcorn should keep them in one place....

Guest
I don't work until Wednesday evening. Does it count if the chickens are asleep?
Lesley
It will make it much easier Ginette
Guest
Definitely I haven't taught them to warble in tune yet!
freerange
DH & I both work from home. Although Wednesday is the day for our HE group at the local soft play place. I wonder if Ruth would mind? Its the day before my birthday too, so it would be a nice birthday present if I won.
Richard and Jo
I drive for half an hour then cycle for 50 mins to central London where I work on a building site all day. I don't think the chickens would appreciate that Jo will be taking them to work - she is a domestic engineer.

Lesley
Kate - do you know whereabouts last years photos are? Which page in the Gallery?
AndrewBuckley
I work as a gardener & handy-man. If I take my chooks to work with me next Wednesday, I'll be in a garden in Winchester that's mostly covered in rounded pebbles. Do you think anyone would object if I took mine on Friday when I'll be working in a nice big garden with a very mossy lawn. (I could always doctor the date on the photos couldn't I? Seriously though, are the chooks likely to find it stressfull spending one day somewhere completely different. I trying to keep them calm until they start laying. The O'Neill Family
does it count if we bring them to school? because it's not really my fault if i can't work( would be more fun than school)
myles
I hope so, as all us under 16's cant work in full time employment. so i think school should count. Kate or James will probably have the final say though.
Mrs Frugal
Kate doesn't have any say at all ! I had to beg pity from James to let me join in last year !!
Cate in NZ
Chickens in school sound fun, but I'm not sure that too many of the teachers would agree
Louise
I would get shot (or fired) if I took my chickens to work
Guest
My husband is refusing to take our girls to work. He says they wouldn't enjoy the very cramped conditions on the train into London. I have a wonderful image of them trotting over London Bridge with him and all the other commuters though!
The Dogmother
That's a lovely picture, Ginette
Gem
Aw, this would be so much fun, but it would be quite impractical for me. The bus would be quite a challenge, for starters! Then I suspect the quiet warbling and clucking from under my desk might raise a few eyebrows... Although a couple of years ago I did have a duckling (Charlie) in a box under my desk - he was poorly and needed a bit of TLC. Got into trouble over that one - only when people started forming a queue to come and see him though!
The Dogmother
A duckling Gem I know a woman who works at a wildlife sanctuary, she found a deserted duckling (tiny) and was keeping him down her bra to keep him warm Luckily she had enough in there to keep him from falling out! Gem
In her bra??? I didn't try that... It would have caused even more of a commotion I suspect. So did anyone manage to smuggle a chook into their place of work today?
Louise
Only the toy Rocky the Rooster on my desk Gem Does that count
