Guest
Don't forget that it's nearly Take Your Chicken To Work Day! November 23rd is a Wednesday this year! Are you serious? I work from home, so I guess I don't have to do anything - or should I sit the girls at a Computer? It could be difficult cleaning that stuff out of a keyboard..... red
Perhaps I should work from home that day instead
Guest
Perhaps I should work from home that day instead Hey - why not? We could rename it "Stay at home with your chickens day".
Mrs Frugal
Are you serious? Seriously serious grd! We did it last year, sent in photos of our chickens at work and got free T-shirts as prizes!! Home offices didn't count last year and I had to plead extreme sickness to qualify but it's great fun! I still work from home so I doubt if I'll qualify this year either though ! All we had to do was provide photographic evidence of our chickens at work! Guest
All we had to do was provide photographic evidence of our chickens at work! Hmmm - that could be done; some "generic" kind of office photo plus a picture of a chicken, a bit of editing in Photoshop, and hey presto - I win the prize of Omlet pants! Lesley
No!- has to be a real live chicken in a real live office I'm not taking part this year - the new intake can do it! It's great fun really I'm still working on my excuse...............
Mel (& Paul)
Perhaps Paul could take Margot on his post round with him - that should count - he doesnt have an office - just a bike and a bag

Cate in NZ
I'd love to do it, but my patients are all so stressed about bird flu that having a real chicken in attendance at flu clinic could be pushing thigs a bit far . Not condicive to maintaining a clean environment either Nov 23rd is son's 14th birthday, can I do take your chicken to a birthday party instead
ali-s
What a great idea! Shame I work in a school kitchen though, so I will have to give it a miss. Some silly law about animals not being allowed in there. I wouldn't trust the Chefs anyway, my girls might end up on the menu. Could I take a photo of them by the school gates ? vigo
I have an office at home - does that count? Failing that I'll move my filing cabinet and printer in the garden and work outside for the day

Jules
I work at the Health Protection Agency where avian flu is monitored so that could be quiet amusing!

Guest
we will try and get our husband/dad to take the chickens to work. don't think he will. i don't think he'll believe 'its take a chicken to work day.' we will try and sneak them into his briefcase. motherhen
Good luck - tell your hens to be quiet until he opens the briefcase at work And don't forget to include a camera for the all important photo
Popcorn
I could quite easily take my chooks to work. My students would love them. My only cocvern is the amount of poo! Mine really do poo for England. Two big poo machines. I'd hate to leave the lingering smell of chicken poo in the carpet. Any suggestions (apart from a cork) to stop them pooing indoors?
