freddie
What did we all think of this, or am I way behind the times? I'm afraid I got bored , and wandered off half way through....
Bramble
I've recorded this to watch later, I had high hopes for it, but it sounds like I'm going to be disappointed?
Eggasperated
I got a bit confused by this one Seemed more like a decluttering program with extras.
craftyhunnypie
I didn't think the final room was very 60's did you? Plus in the 60's they would not have done up furniture, but just had it as it was...teak! I liked watching the quilt making, but even that was a bit too modern really. I thought 60's would be a bit more Mary Quant, orange & plastic wierd shaped furniture. They didn't get it right at all. Emma.x
bluekarin
I loved their living room but thought the wallpaper in the bedroom was too busy for all the walls - and I loved that wallpaper. I too wasn't that enamoured with the programme and was so looking forward to it. I felt it had a 70's vibe more than a 60's, but was 100 times better than it was before. I really would love some of the glass baubles they had - very similar to the glass baubles Kirsty made a few years ago with Will Shakespeare
Olly
There wasn't much you could take away and use for yourself ... the quilt looked pretty, but when she said the specially printed material was 'only' £31/metre I squeaked in horror! I was hoping for more 'hands on' stuff, as in her previous programme, but you'd need loads of equipment to do the concrete lamps, not that I'd want to, and they didn't really show you much of the technique in any of the things. A bit disappointing, and I am not sure I'll bother watching again.
Egluntyne
I thought the sideboard was hideous. The sitting room looked better without that blooming awful fireplace, but to stick that grotty blanket box (which I would have hurled into a skip) in front of the chimney breast rather spoilt the effect. HennyPenny59
It didn't hold my interest at all, and Kirsty's voice over grates on me slightly. I ended up putting on my recorded programme of Grand Designs, which I love. I think there is a part of me which has grown very tired of house makeover programmes. Where did it all start? Was it Changing Rooms?
Griffin
Molly helpfully pointed out that if I'd spent £25 on that hideous vase, Mr Griffin would've killed me She now wants me to find out when the next market/antiques sale is on at Newbury so we can go. So E do I get the feeling you didn't like the finished look much I was looking forward to the programme as I have enjoyed her others (I even got one of her books last year) but I was disappointed too. I don't think many of us are going to start making concrete lamps in our kitchens
Lesley
I read a book It felt more 70s to me as well. Not what I was expecting from the programme at all.
Bramble
Well, I watched this last night, and like (I think) all our other posters, was rather disappointed I might continue to record the rest of the series (to watch if I'm desperate) but sadly won't go out of my way to watch ...
